Claims (16)
- 주사전극 및 공통전극에 의해 구비되는 디스플레이 셀들을 복수의 그룹으로 구분하고, 각 그룹에 대하여 하나의 프레임을 복수개의 서브필드로 분할하여 구동하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법에 있어서,상기 서브필드는, 어드레스구간 및 유지구간을 포함하고,상기 어드레스구간에서, 디스플레이될 셀들을 선택하고,상기 유지구간에서, 상기 주사전극과 상기 공통전극에 유지방전신호의 하이레벨과 로우레벨이 교대로 인가되어 유지방전이 수행되고,적어도 하나의 유지구간에서,상기 주사전극에 인가되는 유지방전신호의 하이레벨의 전위 및 인가 타이밍은 모든 그룹에서 동일하고,상기 주사전극에 인가되는 유지방전신호의 로우레벨의 전위는 제1로우레벨 및 상기 제1로우레벨보다 높은 제2로우레벨이 혼합되어 존재하고,상기 제1로우레벨 및 상기 제2로우레벨이 상기 각 그룹별로 서로 다른 타이밍에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주사전극의 제1로우레벨과 상기 공통전극의 하이레벨이 중첩되는 기간에는 방전이 발생하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 주사전극의 제2로우레벨과 상기 공통전극의 하이레벨이 중첩되는 기간에는 방전이 발생하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2로우레벨 전위는,상기 어드레스구간에서 상기 주사전극에 인가되는 주사펄스의 하이레벨과 로우레벨의 전위차와 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 주사전극 및 공통전극에 의해 구비되는 디스플레이 셀들을 복수의 그룹으로 구분하고, 각 그룹에 대하여 하나의 프레임을 복수개의 서브필드로 분할하여 구동하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법에 있어서,상기 서브필드는, 어드레스구간 및 유지구간을 포함하고,상기 서브필드 중 적어도 하나는,각 그룹별로 상기 어드레스구간과 상기 유지구간을 순차적으로 수행하되, 각 그룹의 어드레싱 동작을 수행한 다음 상기 어드레싱된 그룹의 셀들에 대해 유지구간을 수행하고, 상기 유지구간이 종료된 다음 다른 그룹의 셀들에 대해 어드레스 동작을 수행하여, 어느 한 그룹의 셀들에 대해 유지구간을 수행하는 동안 이미 이전에 어드레스구간이 수행된 다른 그룹의 셀들에 대해서도 선택적으로 유지구간을 수행하며,적어도 하나의 유지구간에서,상기 주사전극에 인가되는 유지방전신호의 하이레벨의 전위 및 인가 타이밍은 모든 그룹에서 동일하고,상기 주사전극에 인가되는 유지방전신호의 로우레벨의 전위는 제1로우레벨 및 상기 제1로우레벨보다 높은 제2로우레벨이 혼합되어 존재하고,상기 제1로우레벨 및 상기 제2로우레벨이 상기 각 그룹별로 서로 다른 타이밍에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 주사전극의 제1로우레벨과 상기 공통전극의 하이레벨이 중첩되는 기간에는 방전이 발생하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 주사전극의 제2로우레벨과 상기 공통전극의 하이레벨이 중첩되는 기간에는 방전이 발생하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 제2로우레벨 전위는,상기 어드레스구간에서 상기 주사전극에 인가되는 주사펄스의 하이레벨과 로우레벨의 전위차와 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 유지구간은,모든 그룹에 대해 일정 기간 동안 공통적으로 유지방전을 수행하는 공통구간을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 유지구간은,각 그룹들이 소정의 계조도를 만족하도록 각 그룹에 대해 선택적으로 추가의 유지방전을 수행하는 보정구간을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동방법.
- 디스플레이 패널의 주사전극라인에 주사신호 및 유지방전신호를 인가하기 위하여,제1노드;상기 제1노드에 연결된 유지구동부;상기 제1노드에 연결된 주사신호 하이레벨 인가부;상기 제1노드에 연결된 주사신호 로우레벨 인가부;상기 주사신호 하이레벨 인가부에 일단이 연결된 제1스위치;유지방전신호의 제2로우레벨 인가부;상기 제1스위치의 타단과 상기 유지방전신호의 제2로우레벨 인가부 사이에 연결된 제2스위치;상기 제1스위치의 타단과 상기 주사전극라인 사이에 연결된 하이레벨 주사스위치; 및상기 주사전극라인 및 상기 주사신호 로우레벨 인가부 사이에 연결된 로우레벨 주사스위치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 제1스위치와 상기 제2스위치는, 상호 토글 스위칭되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 유지구동부는,상기 유지방전신호의 하이레벨 전원부;상기 하이레벨 전원부와 상기 제1노드 사이에 연결된 상기 유지방전신호의 하이레벨 스위치;상기 유지방전신호의 제1로우레벨 전원부; 및상기 유지방전신호의 제1로우레벨 전원부와 상기 제1노드 사이에 연결된 상기 유지방전신호의 로우레벨 스위치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 주사신호 하이레벨 인가부는,하이레벨 주사전원; 및상기 제1노드와 상기 하이레벨 주사전원 사이에 연결된 주사 캐패시터를 구비하고,상기 제1스위치는 상기 하이레벨 주사전원과 상기 주사캐패시터 사이의 노드에 연결된 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 주사신호 로우레벨 인가부는,로우레벨 주사전원; 및상기 제1노드와 상기 로우레벨 주사전원 사이에 연결된 제어스위치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 패널구동장치.
- 제1항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항의 방법을 컴퓨터에서 실행시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체.
