Description
Claims (7)
- 하나의 광도파로로 입사된 광의 경로를 분할하여 두 개의 광도파로로 진행시킨 다음 다시 하나의 광도파로로 합하도록 하는 구조를 갖는 광도파로 소자에 있어서,기판, 상기 기판 상면에 형성되는 하부전극, 상기 하부전극 상면에 형성되는 하부 클래드층, 상기 하부 클래드층 상면에 형성되어 광파를 전송하는 코어층, 상기 코어층의 상부에 형성되는 상부 클래드층 및 상기 상부 클래드층 상면에 형성되는 상부전극을 포함하는 제1광도파로; 및기판, 상기 기판 상면에 형성되는 하부 클래드층, 상기 하부 클래드층 상면에 형성되어 광파를 전송하는 코어층, 상기 코어층의 상부에 형성되는 상부 클래드층 및 상기 상부 클래드층 상면에 형성되는 열선을 포함하는 제2광도파로;를 포함하며,상기 제2광도파로에 구비된 상기 열선에서 발산되는 열원에 의해 광도파로의 광 굴절율을 변화시켜 광소자의 바이어스를 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 광도파로 소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제1광도파로의 상기 하부 클래드층과 상기 상부 클래드층 및 상기 제2광도파로의 상기 하부 클래드층과 상기 상부 클래드층은 폴리머로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 광도파로 소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제1광도파로의 상기 코어층 및 상기 제2광도파로의 상기 코어층은 전기광학 폴리머인 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 광도파로 소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 열선은 상기 제2광도파로의 상기 상부 클래드층의 상면에 하나 또는 다수개가 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 광도파로 소자.
