Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 수신된 신호를 소정의 제1방식으로 디코딩하는 제1디코더;상기 제1디코더에 의해 디코딩된 상기 신호를 소정의 제2방식으로 디코딩하며, 상기 제2방식의 디코딩에 의한 오류정정의 완료시 완료신호를 출력하는 제2디코더; 및상기 제1디코더가 소정의 반복횟수로 디코딩을 행하고, 상기 제2디코더로부터 상기 완료신호 수신시 상기 제1디코더의 디코딩동작이 중단되도록 상기 제1디코더를 제어하고, 상기 제2디코더로부터 상기 완료신호가 수신되는 경우 설정한 상기 반복횟수를 감소시키는 제어부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1디코더는 터보디코더이고, 상기 제2디코더는 RS디코더인 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 삭제
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 제어부는, 상기 반복횟수가 소정의 최소값보다 작아지는 경우 상기 최소값을 상기 반복횟수로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 2항 또는 제 4항에 있어서,상기 제어부는, 상기 터보디코더에 의해 상기 반복횟수의 터보디코딩이 행해진 상기 신호에 대해서 상기 완료신호가 수신되지 않는 경우, 상기 반복횟수를 증가시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 5항에 있어서,상기 제어부는, 상기 반복횟수가 소정의 최대값보다 커지는 경우 상기 최대값을 상기 반복횟수로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 6항에 있어서,상기 터보복호기에 입력되는 상기 신호를 일시적으로 저장하는 입력버퍼를 더 포함하며;상기 제어부는, 상기 입력버퍼에 여분의 저장용량이 존재하는 경우, 상기 반복횟수를 상기 최대값보다 큰 값으로 설정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 6항에 있어서,RS디코딩된 상기 신호를 일시적으로 저장하는 출력버퍼를 더 포함하며;상기 제어부는, 상기 출력버퍼에 여분의 저장용량이 존재하지 않는 경우, 상기 반복횟수를 상기 최대값보다 큰 값으로 설정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 제어부는, 상기 터보디코더에 의해 상기 반복횟수의 터보디코딩이 행해진 상기 신호에 대해서 상기 완료신호가 수신되지 않는 경우, 상기 신호가 추가적으로 터보디코딩되도록 상기 터보디코더를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 반복횟수를 저장하는 메모리를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩장치.
- 수신된 신호를 소정의 반복횟수로 제1디코딩하는 단계;상기 제1디코딩에 의해 디코딩된 상기 신호를 제2디코딩하는 단계;상기 제2디코딩에 의한 오류정정의 완료 여부를 판별하는 단계; 및상기 오류정정이 완료된 경우 상기 신호에 대한 상기 제1디코딩을 중단하고, 상기 반복횟수를 감소시키는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 제1디코딩은 터보디코딩이고, 상기 제2디코딩은 RS디코딩인 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 삭제
- 제 12항에 있어서,상기 감소단계에서는, 상기 반복횟수가 소정의 최소값보다 작아지는 경우 상기 최소값을 상기 반복횟수로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 제 12항 또는 제 14항에 있어서,상기 오류정정이 완료되지 않은 경우 상기 반복횟수를 증가시키는 단계;를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 제 15항에 있어서,상기 증가단계에서는, 상기 반복횟수가 소정의 최대값보다 커지는 경우 상기 최대값을 상기 반복횟수로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 제 16항에 있어서,상기 신호를 터보디코딩하기 전에 일시적으로 저장하는 입력버퍼에 여분의 저장용량이 존재하는 경우, 상기 증가단계에서는 상기 반복횟수가 상기 최대값보다 큰 값으로 설정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
- 제 16항에 있어서,RS디코딩된 상기 신호를 일시적으로 저장하는 출력버퍼에 여분의 저장용량이 존재하지 않는 경우, 상기 증가단계에서는 상기 반복횟수가 최대값보다 큰 값으로 설정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 디코딩방법.
