Claims (6)
- 색 성분들의 몇가지 범위들(R, G, B)을 동시에 방출하는 광원(S)과,x축을 따라 정렬되고 상기 x축에 수직인 y축을 따라 배열된 트리플들(triples)의 세트를 포함하는 공간 광 변조기(spatial light modulator; LCD)로서, 각각의 상기 트리플은 x축을 따라 정렬된 3개의 부화소들(sub-pixels)을 포함하고, 각각의 부화소는 x축을 따라 치수 SPx를 갖고, 각각의 부화소는 여러 색 범위들 (RGB)의 광을, 상이한 방향들에 따라, 상기 x축을 따라 펼쳐지는 빔들로, 여러 각도로 분리하는 색 성분(RC)에 대응하는, 상기 공간 광 변조기와,다양한 색 범위들(R, G, B)의 광을 상이한 방향들을 따라서 여러 각도로 분리하는 최소한 한 개의 색 분리기(color splitter)(RC)와,각각의 색 범위의 광이 실질적으로 부화소상에 초점이 맞춰질 수 있도록 하는 구면 렌즈 어레이(MLC)로서, 상기 렌즈 어레이는 상기 공간 광 변조기의 치수와 대략 동일한 치수들을 가지며 각각의 렌즈는 치수들 lL과 hL로 정의된 단면을 가지며, 상기 치수 lL은 상기 x축을 따라 정의되고 상기 치수 hL은 상기 y축을 따라 정의되는, 상기 구면 렌즈 어레이와,투영 광학기(projection optic; P0)를 포함하는 컬러 표시 장치에 있어서,렌즈의 단면은 트리플의 단면과 동일한 면적을 가지며, 상기 투영 광학기의 기하구조로 부화소 트리플들의 세트에 결합된 분산 색 격자 사용의 부적합성을 해소할 수 있도록 치수 lL은 치수 3SPx보다 작고 치수 lL은 상기 치수 hL보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 표시 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 동일한 색의 부화소들은 x 축에 대하여 경사진 방향으로 정열되며, 인접하지 않고,각 렌즈의 중심은 동일한 색의 부화소의 중심에 대략 대응하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 표시 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 렌크들의 단면은 각 트리플에 의해 한정된 단면과 동일한 직사각형이지만, 상기 평면(Px, Py)에서 상기 트리플에 수직으로 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 표시 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 색 분리기(RC)는 감광 재료에서의 광 기록에 의해 얻어지는 위상 미세 구조(phase microstructures)(지수 또는 릴리프 변동들)를 가진 구성요소를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한 컬러 표시 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기(LCD)는 액정 스크린인 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 표시 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 렌즈 어레이(MLC)는 상기 공간 광 변조기(MLC) 옆에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 표시 장치.
