Abstract

본 발명은 자동차용 조향축의 유니버셜 조인트 연결구조에 대한 것으로서, 발명의 주된 목적은 파이프 조인트와 샤프트 조인트를 삼각단면으로 형성하여 마찰 접촉부분을 한정시키고, 그 속에 탄성링을 삽입시켜 마찰에 따른 마모량을 보상할 수 있도록 하는데 있으며, 더 나가서 수명을 길게 하고 장기간 사용되어도 유격에 따른 고장 및 소음이 예방되도록 하는데 있다.
이를 위한 특징적인 수단은 3방향의 모서리가 둥글게 형성되고, 삽입부 중단에 원통부를 형성한 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트와, 3방향의 구석부가 둥글게 형성된 삼각 튜브 모양의 파이프 조인트와, 상기 샤프트 조인트의 원통부에 감합하기 위한 원통형 탄성링으로 구성하여 상기 원통형 탄성링을 샤프트 조인트의 원통부에 감합한 후, 상기 파이프 조이트속으로 끼웠을 때, 3방향 모서리는 3방향 구석부에 접하고, 원통형 탄성링의 외주면은 파이프 조인트의 내면에 접하도록 하는 것이다.

Description

차량용 조향축의 유니버셜 조인트 연결구조{Universal connecting ASS'Y of steering axis for vehicle}
본 발명은 자동차용 조향축의 유니버셜 조인트 연결구조에 대한 것으로서, 더 상세히 말하자면 슬립 조인트 부분의 유격이 발생하지 않도록 하기 위한 것이다.
일반적으로 자동차의 조향축은 중단에서 임의의 각도로 꺾이는 부분이 있기 때문에 유니버셜 조인트가 사용되는 바, 종래의 유니버셜 조인트는 도 1에서 보듯이 파이프 조인트(1)와 샤프트 조인트(2)를 삽입하여 구성되고, 이들은 길이 방향으로 삽입/인출이 가능하여야 하기 때문에 스플라인(21)과 스플라인 홈(11) (또는 세레이션과 세레이션 브로우치)을 형성하여 습동이 가능하도록 결합하게 된다.
그러나 이와 같은 종래의 연결구조는 연결부분이 길이방향으로 출몰함에 있어서, 장기간 작동하게 되면 마모로 인해 유격이 발생하게 되고, 유격이 발생하면 고장 및 소음의 원인이 된다.
따라서 본 발명은 상기와 같은 종래의 문제점을 감안하여 이를 해결 보완하고자 안출한 것으로서, 발명의 주된 목적은 파이프 조인트와 샤프트 조인트를 삼각단면으로 형성하여 마찰 접촉부분을 한정시키고, 그 속에 탄성링을 삽입시켜 마찰에 따른 마모량을 보상할 수 있도록 하는데 있으며, 더 나가서 수명을 길게 하고 장기간 사용되어도 유격에 따른 고장 및 소음이 예방되도록 하는데 있다.
이를 위한 특징적인 수단은 3방향의 모서리가 둥글게 형성되고, 삽입부 중단에 원통부를 형성한 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트와, 3방향의 구석부가 둥글게 형성된 삼각 튜브 모양의 파이프 조인트와, 상기 샤프트 조인트의 원통부에 감합하기 위한 원통형 탄성링으로 구성하여 상기 원통형 탄성링을 샤프트 조인트의 원통부에 감합한 후, 상기 파이프 조이트속으로 끼웠을 때, 3방향 모서리는 3방향 구석부에 접하고, 원통형 탄성링의 외주면은 파이프 조인트의 내면에 접하도록 하는 것이다.

이하 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 구성 및 작용을 첨부 도면에 따라 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 2는 본 발명의 구성에 따른 분해 사시도이고, 도 3은 결합 상태의 단면도이다.
도 2에서 보는 바와 같이 본 발명은 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트(2)와, 삼각 튜브 모양의 파이프 조인트(1)와, 탄성링(3)으로 이루어 진다.
즉, 샤프트 조인트(2)는 3방향의 모서리(22)가 둥글게 형성되고, 삽입부 중단에 원통부(23)가 형성된 것이며, 파이프 조인트(1)는 3방향의 구석부(12)가 둥글게 형성된 삼각 튜브 이고, 원통형 탄성링(3)은 일측이 길이 방향으로 절개되어 탄성을 보유하도록 된 것이다.
이와 같은 본 발명을 조립하는 과정은 원통형 탄성링(3)을 샤프트 조인트(2)의 원통부(23)에 감합하여 끼우고, 이 부분을 파이프 조인트(1)의 속으로 끼운다.
따라서 샤프트 조인트(2)의 3방향 모서리(22)는 파이프 조인트(1)의 3방향 구석부(12)에 접하고, 원통형 탄성링(3)의 외주면은 파이프 조인트(1)의 내면에 접하게 된다.
이때, 상기한 샤프트 조인트(2)는 3방향의 평면부를 안쪽으로 오목한 만곡부(24)로 형성하여 파이프 조인트(1)의 내면에 닿지 않게 하므로써 탄성링(3)의 탄성공간이 확보되면서 상기한 3방향 모서리(22)와 3방향 구석부(12)가 더 효과적으로 밀착될 수 있는 것이다.
이상과 같이 구성된 본 발명은 파이프 조인트(1)와 샤프트 조인트(2)가 길이 방향으로 슬라이드 될 때, 삼각 튜브 및 삼각 단면으로 되어 있기 때문에 회전될 수 없으며, 상기한 3방향 모서리(22)와 3방향 구석부(12)가 집중적으로 밀착되기 때문에 마찰 저항이 크지 않으며, 특히 샤프트 조인트(2)에 원통형 탄성링(3)이 감합된 채, 파이프 조인트(1)의 내면에 탄성을 유지하면서 밀착되어 있기 때문에 반복되는 슬라이딩으로 마모가 발생하여도 유격이 발생하지 않는다.
위에서 상세히 설명한 바와 같은 본 발명은 삼각 튜브의 파이프 조인트(1) 속으로 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트(2)를 끼워 회전이 되지 않고, 샤프트 조인트(2)와 파이프 조인트(1)의 사이에 탄성링(3)을 개입시켰기 때문에 마모량을 보상하여 유격이 발생치 않으며, 따라서 진동 및 소음이 발생하지 않아 상품성을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.

Claims (2)

  1. 3방향의 모서리(22)가 둥글게 형성되고, 삽입부 중단에 원통부(23)를 형성한 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트(2)와, 3방향의 구석부(12)가 둥글게 형성된 삼각 튜브 모양의 파이프 조인트(1)와, 상기 샤프트 조인트(2)의 원통부(23)에 감합하기 위한 원통형 탄성링(3)으로 구성하여 상기 원통형 탄성링(3)을 샤프트 조인트(2)의 원통부(23)에 감합한 후, 상기 파이프 조인트(1)속으로 끼웠을 때, 3방향 모서리(22)는 3방향 구석부(12)에 접하고, 원통형 탄성링(3)의 외주면은 파이프 조인트(1)의 내면에 접하도록 됨을 특징으로 하는 차량용 조향축의 유니버셜 조인트 연결구조.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기한 삼각 단면의 샤프트 조인트(2)는 그 3방향의 평면부를 중심쪽으로 오목한 만곡부(24)로 형성하여 파이프 조인트의 내면에 접촉하지 않도록 하여서 됨을 특징으로 하는 차량용 조향축의 유니버셜 조인트 연결구조.
