Claims (3)
- 전방으로부터 입사된 빛이 액정(7)의 후방에서 반사되어, 그 반사광이 후방으로부터 액정(7)을 투과함으로써, 전방으로부터 액정부의 표시가 관찰되는 반사형 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 액정(7)의 후방에 배치되어, 빛의 하나의 방향의 편광성분은 투과하고, 상기 하나의 방향에 직각방향의 편광성분은, 빛의 진행방향과 역방향으로 산란반사하는 산란편광판(11)을 주요 광학요소로서 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 액정은 네마틱 액정(21)과 2색성 색소(22)의 혼합물로 이루어진 액정 또는 이 혼합물을 포함하는 액정인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정표시장치.
- 전방으로부터 입사된 빛이, 액정 패널의 후방에서 반사되어, 그 반사광이 후방으로부터 액정(7)을 투과함으로써, 전방으로부터 액정부의 표시가 관찰되는 반사형 액정표시장치에 있어서,네마틱 액정(21)과 2색성 색소(22)의 혼합물을 포함하는 액정(7)과,상기 액정(7)의 후방에 배치되어, 빛의 하나의 방향의 편광성분을 투과하지만, 상기 하나의 방향과 직각방향의 편광성분을 빛의 진행방향과 역방향으로 산란반사하는 산란편광판(11)과,상기 산란편광판(11)의 후방에 배치되어, 점등과 소등의 전환이 가능한 백라이트(15)를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정표시장치.
