Claims (7)
- 투명한 무기 유리로 된 코어 및 투명한 유기 중합체로 된 클래드로 이루어지며, 클래드 중 휘발성 성분의 양이 1중량% 이하인 것이 특징인 코어-클래드(core-clad) 구조의 광학 섬유.
- 제1항에 있어서, 클래드가 하기 화학식 (I), (II) 및 (III)의 단량체 단위로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 단량체 단위를 함유하는 중합체로 이루어진 것인 광학 섬유.
- 제1항에 있어서, 클래드 상에 하나 이상의 보호층을 추가로 포함하는 광학 섬유.
- a) 투명한 무기 유리로부터 코어 섬유를 형성시키고, b) 코어 섬유 상에 코어 섬유보다 굴절율이 낮은 투명한 유기 중합체로 된 클래드를 형성시키고, c) 원적외선 가열기를 사용하여 클래드 중의 휘발성 성분을 1중량% 이하로 증발시키는 것으로 이루어진 광학 섬유의 제조 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 투명한 열경화성 또는 광경화성 수지를 코어 섬유 상에 원추형으로 도포시키고, 이 수지를 교차결합시킴으로써 클래드가 형성되는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 코어 섬유보다 굴절율이 낮은 투명한 유기 중합체의 용액을 코어 섬유 상에 원추형으로 도포시킴으로써 클래드가 형성되는 방법.
- 프리폼(preform) 용융로, 코어 섬유의 직경을 측정하기 위한 직경 측정장치, 클래드 물질 코오팅 폿(pot), 원적외선 가열기, 광학 섬유의 직경을 측정하기 위한 측정 장치 및 닙 롤러(nip roller)로 이루어진 광학 섬유 제조 장치.
