Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 기판(50)을 제공하고, 30° 미만의 끼인각을 갖는 상기 기판 상에 쐐기-형 예리한 연부(52)을 형성하고, 중간층(58)을 상기 기판 상에 용착시키고, 다이아몬드 도는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 (DLC) 재료의 층(60)을 상기 중간층 상에 용착시켜, 중간층이 한 면 상으로는 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료 층과 접촉하고 다른 한 면 상으로는 예리한 연부를 포함하는 기판과 접촉하여 상기 중간층이 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 재료 층과 상기 예리한 연부를 포함하는 기판 사이에 놓이도록 하는 것으로 구성되는 면도 칼날 형성방법으로서, 상기 기판은 1200 옹스트롬 미만의 팁 반지름을 갖고 상기 중간층(58)은 니오브, 탄탈륨 또는 바나듐 또는 이들 금속의 합금으로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 예리한 연부(52) 상의 상기 중간층이 약 500 옹스트롬 미만의 두께를 갖고, 상기 중간층으로 코팅된 예리한 연부 상의 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 층(60)이 상기 기판의 예리한 연부로부터 상기 연부에서 40 마이크로미터의 거리까지 적어도 1200 옹스트롬의 두께를 갖는 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 기판(50)은 금속이고 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 층(60)이 상기 금속 기판보다 적어도 2배 경질인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료의 층(60)을 흑연 또는 니오브 표적물(96, 98)이 위치한 비워진 챔버(74) 내에서 아르곤 분위기 하에 용착시키고; 상기 니오브 표적물(96)에 전류를 통하게 하며, 니오브의 중간 층(58)을 스퍼터링에 의해 상기 칼날 연부 상에 용착시키며; 그런 다음 상기 흑연 표적물(98)에 전류를 통하게 하여, RF 바이어스가 상기 기판(50)에 적용되는 동안 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료의 층(60)을 상기 니오브 층 상에 용착시키는 방법.

- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 부착성 중합체 코팅(73)을 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소로 코팅된 예리한 연부(52) 상에 적용하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 30° 미만의 끼인각을 갖는 쐐기-형 연부를 가지는 기판, 상기 기판 상의 중간층 및 상기 중간층 상의 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료 층으로 구성되어, 중간층이 한 면 상으로는 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료층과 접촉하고 다른 한 면 상으로는 예리한 연부를 포함하는 기판과 접촉하여 상기 중간층이 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소 재료 층과 상기 예리한 연부를 포함하는 기판 사이에 놓이며, 상기 기판은 1200 옹스트롬 미만의 팁 반지름을 갖고 상기 중간층은 니오브, 탄탈륨 또는 바나듐 또는 이들 금속의 합금으로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는, 제1항의 방법의 직접적인 최종 산물로서 얻어지는 면도 칼날.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 또는 다이아몬드 같은 탄소(DLC) 재료 층(60)이 약 1331㎝-1(다이아몬드) 또는 약 1552㎝-1(DLC)에서 라만 피이크; 약 3:1 미만의 종횡비; 실질적인 SP3탄소 결합; 및 1.5 g/㎤ 이상의 질량 밀도를 갖는 면도 칼날.
- 제8항 또는 제9항에 따른 면도 칼날을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는 면도 유니트.
