본 발명은 일회용품, 보다 상세하게는, 신생아의 비교적 빠른 성장에 맞추어 길이 및 접착 부위를 조절할 수 있는 일회용 흡수 용품에 관한 것이다.
현재, 일회용 흡수 용품은 유아 및 아동 위생 용품에 폭넓게 사용되고 있으며 일반적으로는 재사용 가능한 천 흡수 용품을 대체하고 있다. 대표적인 일회용 흡수 용품은 일반적으로 상부 시트, 및 하부시트와 하부 시트 사이의 흡수체로 이루어진다. 이러한 용품은 통상적으로 용품을 착용자에게 고정시키는 몇가지 체결 시스템을 포함한다.
시중의 일회용 아기 기저귀는 일반적으로 대중에게 수용되고 있지만, 특정영역에 있어서 아직도 개선의 여지가 있다. 예를 들면 생후 0 내지 약 4개월 된 신생아의 엄마들은 시중의 일회용 기저귀가 신생아의 생후1개월 동안 탯줄을 자극한다는 것을 알게 된다. 물론, 탯줄에 대한 어떠한 자극도 신생아에게 불편을 줄뿐만 아니라 엄마에게도 염려를 끼치게 된다. 엄마들의 또 다른 관심사는 신생아 피부가 진무르기 쉬워서, 피부를 자극하거나 붉게 만들 수 있는 약한 압박 또는 마찰에 민감하다는 것이다. 시중의 기저귀를 사용하면, 이러한 자극 또는 압박은 뇨 누출을 방지하기 위해 기저귀가 신생아의 피부에 밀착하도록 압착시키는 다리 부위의 탄성체에 유발된다. 또한, 이것은 기저귀의 후면 이어부가 기저귀의 전면부에 단단히 접착되는 허리 영역에서 일어날 수도 있다. 따라서, 시중의 기저귀는 신생아용으로 최적의 흡수 용품은 아니다.
신생아의 아물고 있는 탯줄 영역과 진무르기 쉬운 피부에 대한 관심사 이외에도, 남아 또는 여아의 출생에서 약 4개월까지의 비교적 빠른 성장에 피부가 민감하다는 것을 들 수 있다. 이 시기 동안, 신생아는 약 2.72kg(약 6 lb)에서 6.80kg(약 15lb)으로의 체중 증가 및 신장 성장을 보이므로, 처음에는 신생아용 크기의 기저귀를 사용하지만 상기 빠른 성장 단계 동안에는 그 다음 크기의 것도 신생아에게 적절하지 않을 수 있다는 문제점이 생긴다. 이러한 빠른 성장에 따라 크기를 조절할 수 있는, 생후 0 내지 약 4개월의 신생아용으로 고안된 기저귀를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 일면에 있어서, 전면부, 후면부 및 중간 가랑이부를 포함한 하부시트 및 적어도 중간 가랑이부 상에 위치한 주 흡수체로 이루어진, 성장에 따라 조절가능한 흡수 용품을 제공한다. 접혀질 수 있는 패널은 주 흡수체와 전면부의 전면 연부 사이의 전면부상에 위치된다. 이 접혀질 수 있는 패널을 주흡수체와 실질적으로 같은 평면인 제1 위치 및 접혀질 수 있는 패널이 주 흡수체 안으로 접혀진 제2위치 사이를 이동시켜서 용품에 조절성을 제공한다.
본 발명의 상기 및 기타 특징과 그것을 제조하는 방법은 첨부 도면과 함께 명세서를 참조함으로써 보다 명백해지고, 본 발명은 자체로서 더 잘 이해될 것이다.
제1-4 및 9도에 있어서, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시태양 전면 연부(6)가 있는 전면부(4), 후면 연부(10)가 있는 후면부(8) 및 중간 가랑이부(12)로 이루어진 기저귀(2)로서 설명한다. 후면부(8)는 이에 부착되었거나 일체형으로 된 한 쌍의 이어 부재(14), (16)를 포함한다. 일반적으로, 이어 부재(14),(16)는 후면부(8)와 일체형으로 이루어진다.
또한, 기저귀(2)는 흡수체(22)가 사이에 삽입된 하부 시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20)로 이루어진다. 하부 시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20)는 이어 부재(14),(16)가 하부 시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20)를 연장시켜 형성된, 동일한 크기와 모양일 수 있다.
원한다면, 상부 시트(20)가 하부 시트(18)와 일치할 필요는 없지만 하부 시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20)는 그의 테두리를 적당한 방법으로 부착시키기 위해 길이와 폭이 주 흡수체(22)보다 더 큰 것이 바람직하다. 제3도에 나타낸 바와 같이 주 흡수체(22)는 기저귀(2)의 전체 길이에 걸쳐 있지는 않지만 적어도 중간 가랑이부(12)에 놓여 있다.
하부 시트(18)는 천-유사성 및 액체-불투과성을 갖는 것이 바람직하다. 신생아 및 엄마 또는 보모를 위해서 기저귀(2)에 천연 섬유 감촉을 주는 천-유사성 섬유가 하부 시트(18)의 최외표면으로 바람직하다. 이것은 하부 시트로서 플라스틱 감촉을 갖는 중합체 필름 재료만을 사용한 시중의 기저귀와는 대조적인 것이다. 하부 시트(18)에 천- 유사성 및 액체 불투과성을 부여하는 한 방법은 2개의 주름, 즉 증기에 대해 통기성 또는 비통기성일 수 있는 액체-불투과성 내주름(24) 및 천- 유사성 외주름 (26)으로 하부 시트를 구성하는 것이다. 내주름 (24)은 외주름(26)인 스펀본드 재료상에 돌출되어 있는 액체-불투과성 재료로 된 박막일 수 있다.
상부 시트(20)는 뇨와 같은 액체에 대해 투과성이며, 본 발명의 독특한 일면에 있어서 신생아의 진무르기 쉬운 민감성 피부에 매우 바람직한 고도의 보드라운 촉감 또는 조직을 갖는다. 상부 시트(20)에 이러한 고도의 보드라운 촉감 또는 조직을 제공하는 바람직한 하나의 수단은 섬유의 전부 또는 적어도 일부가 이성분 섬유인 섬유 매트릭스로 이를 구성하는 것이다.
이들 이성분 섬유는 사이드-바이-사이드(side-by-side) 구조 또는 쉬드-코어(sheath-core)구조일 수 있다. 상부 시트(20)는 이하에 보다 상세히 설명된다. 바람직한 일실시태양에 있어서, 상부 시트 (20)는 이성분 섬유로 된 라이너 층(liner layer)(21) 및 이성분 섬유와 기타 섬유의 혼합물로 된 서지 층(surge layer)(23)으로 이루어진 2층 복합체이다. 라이너 층(21) 및 서지 층(23) 두 층을 함께 결합시키는 추가 단계를 거치지 않고 서로를 포개 놓거나, 또는 라이너 층 (21) 및 서지 층(23)은 함께 배치된 후에 이들을 함께 결합시키는 결합 또는 연결 단계를 거쳐 상부 시트(20)를 형성할 수 있다. 서지 층(23)은 라이너 층(21)보다 더 좁으며, 쿠션 배리어(52) 또는 봉쇄 플랩(64) 사이의 중앙에 위치한다(제5도). 서지 층(23)은 라이너 층(21)과 흡수체(22) 사이에 있는 것이 바람직하다.
이어 부재(14),(16)는 각각 기저귀(2)의 내표면(34)상의 단부 부근에 부착되어 있는 각각의 후크(hook) 표면(32)를 갖는다. 각각의 후크 표면(32)은 이하에 설명되는 다수의 루프(loop) 부재에 적합한 다수의 후크 부재(도시하지 않음)로 이루어진다.
또한, 기저귀(2)는 3개의 루프 표면(38,)(40)(42)가 놓여져 있는 외표면(36)을 포함한다. 루프 표면(38)은 이어 부재 (14) 또는 (16) 중 어느 하나 또는 둘 다에 부착되어 있다, 제3도에 나탄내 바와 같이 외표면(36)상의 이어 부재(16)에 부착되어 있다. 루프 표면(40), (42)은 전면부(4)의 외표면(36)에 부착되어 있다. 제2 및 3도에 설명되어 있는 바와 같이, 루프 표면(40)은 전면 연부(6) 부근에 있고, 루프 표면(42)은 루프 표면(40)의 내측으로 약간 이격되어 있다. 원한다면, 루프 표면(40), (42)은 하나의 단일 루프 표면일 수 있다. 루프 표면(38), (40), (42)은 각각 후크 표면(32)상의 다수의 후크 부재에 적합한 다수의 루프 부재(도시하지 않음)로 이루어진다.
한쌍의 탄성화된 다리 커프스(44)는 기저귀(2)의 각각의 세로면은 따라 위치해 있고, 하부시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20) 사이에 부착되어 있는 것이 바람직하다. 다리 커프스(44)는 액체 투과성 또는 액체 불투과성일 수 있고 다수의 탄성사(46)에 의해 탄성을 갖는 것이 바람직하다. 다리 커프스(44)는 최외 주름이 액체 불투과성이며 최내 주름이 액체 투과성인 2-주름 복합체인 것이 바람직하다. 이러한 디자인에 있어서, 최외 주름은 하부 시트(18)와 동일한 재료로 이루어질 수 있고 최내 주름은 라이너 층(21)과 동일한 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 다리 커프스(44)가 액체 투과성인 것이 바람직하다면, 두 주름은 동일하거나 상이한 투과성 재료로 이루어질 수 있다.
주 흡수제(22)에 부가하여, 기저귀(2)는 또한 주 흡수체(22)와 전면 연부(6)사이에 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)을 더 포함한다. 주 흡수체(22)에서와 마찬가지로 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)은 하부 시트(18)와 상부 시트(20) 사이에 위치해 있다. 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)은 주 흡수체(22)와 동일한 흡수 재료로 이루어질 수 있으며, 제3도에 나타낸 바와 같이, 주 흡수체(22)와 이격되어 있다. 원한다면, 주 흡수체(22) 및 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)은 일체형일 수 있으며, 제6도 및 제7도에 나타낸 바와 같이 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)이 안으로 접히도록 엠보싱하거나 주름잡거나 천공시키는 것 등에 의해 별도로 구분될 수 있다.
또한, 루프 표면(40)은 흡수 패널(48)위에 놓여진 하부 시트(18) 및 상부 시트(20)의 해당 부분과 같이 흡수 패널(48)과 함께 안으로 접혀질 수 있음을 알아야 한다. 원한다면, 접혀질 수 있는 패널(48)은 바람직하게는 액체 흐름을 막거나 차단하는 특성을 갖는 비흡수성 재료로 이루어질 수 있다.
전면 연부(6)에 인접한 전면부(4)의 해당 부분인 기저귀(2)의 전면 허리부에 탄성을 부여하기 위해서는, 다수의 탄성사(50)를 흡수 패널(48)과 하부 시트(18) 사이에 연결시킨다. 탄성사(50)는 먼저 늘어난 후 하부 시트(18) 또는 패널 (48) 중 어느 하나 또는 둘다에 부착될 수 있다. 그렇지 않으면, 탄성사(50)는 느슨한 상태로 연결된 후 가열되어 하부 시트(18)에 주름이 생기도록 탄성화되는 열 탄성 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 원한다면, 탄성사(50)는 탄성복합체를 형성하는 별도 재료층과 연결된 다음, 하부 시트(18) 및 흡수 패널(48) 사이에서 연결될 수 있다.
신생아 피부의 진무르기 쉽고 민감성인 성질을 감안한 본 발명의 독특한 일면은 피부 자극이나 흥분을 최소화하면서 누출 방지를 돕는 쿠션 배리어가 존재한다는 것이다. 한쌍의 만곡된 가랑이 쿠션 배리어(52)는 적어도 중간 가랑이부(12)의 영역내에 있는 주 흡수체(22)의 반대면에 제공된다. 가랑이 쿠션 배리어는 각각 주 흡수체(22)에서 약간 떨어져 있어서, 신생아의 체형에 맞도록 용이하게 구부려지거나 접혀질 수 있다. 쿠션 배리어(52)는 각각 주 흡수체(22) 상방으로 뻗어 있는 상부 표면(54)을 가져서 컵 모양을 이루고, 보다 중요하게는 신생아 피부를 부드럽데 감싸준다. 쿠션 배리어(52)는 각각 일반적으로 모양이 신장되며, 원통형, 직사각형 계란형들의 횡단면을 가질 수 있다. 쿠션 배리어(52)는 주 흡수체(22)와 동일한 재료로 이루어지거나 또는 흡수성은 가지지 않지만 신체 허리에 댐(dam) 효과 및 피부를 부드럽게 감싸주는 효과를 제공할 수 있도록 탄성을 갖는 기타 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 원한다면, 탄성 부재(56)는 각각의 쿠션 배리어 (52)와 하부 시트(18) 사이에 위치하는 식으로 각각의 쿠션 배리어(52)에 제공될 수 있다. 탄성 부재(56)는 신생아 피부에 대해 부드럽고 온화한 방식으로 쿠션 배리어(52)를 강화시키는 역할을 한다. 탄성 부재(56)는 탄성사(50)를 사용하여 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)을 탄성화시키기 위해 기재된 것과 동일한 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 탄성 부재(56)는 길이 폭이 각각의 쿠션 배리어(52)와 유사한 신장 부재인 것이 바람직하다. 상부 표면(54)이 주 흡수체(22)의 상부 표면을 지나서 상방으로 연장되는 높이는 사용된 흡수성 재료, 기저귀(2)의 크기 및 모양 등에 따라 달라진다. 쿠션 배리어(52)는 하부 시트(18) 및 라이너 층(21) 사이에 위치하는 것이 바람직하지만, 라이너 층(21)의 상부에 위치할 수도 있다.
쿠션 배리어(52)는 주 흡수체(22)의 세로면에서 약간 떨어져 있다고 기술하였으나, 주 흡수체(22)에서 2cm만큼 더 떨어져 있거나 또는 각 세로면 부근의 주 흡수체(22)의 상부에 위치할 수 있다.
후면부(8)는 주 흡수체(22)와 후면 연부(10)사이에 위치한 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어(58)를 포함한다. 바람직하게는. 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어(58)는 하부 시트(18) 및 라이너 층 (21) 사이에 끼워지지만, 라이너 층(21)의 상부에 위치할 수도 있다.
후면 허리 쿠션 배리어(58)는 가랑이 쿠션 배리어(52)와 동일한 재료로 이루어질 수 있으며 후면 허리 밴드(60)를 포함한다. 후면허리 밴드 (60)는 전면 허리 밴드(51)와 동일한 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 따라서 후면 허리밴드 (60)는 전면 허리 밴드(51)의 탄성사(50)과 동일하거나 유사한 탄성사(62)로 이루어질 수 있다. 후면 허리쿠션 배리어(58)는 신생아의 피부에 대해 부드러운 쿠션을 제공하고 기저귀(2)의 후면에 허리 배리어를 제공하는 두 가지 역할을 한다. 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어(58)은 일반적으로 후면부(8)의 주 흡수체(22)와 동일한 폭을 가지만, 물론 원하는 주 흡수체(22)보다 더 크거나 작은 폭을 가질 수도 있다.
제5도에 있어서, 기저귀(2)는 가랑이 쿠션 배리어(52)를 한 쌍의 봉쇄 플랩(containment flap)(64)로 대체시키고, 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어를 허리 봉쇄 플랩(66)으로 대체시켜 변형되었다. 봉쇄 플랩(64)은 라이너 층(21)과 동일한 재료로 이루어지거나 또는 기타 적당한 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 봉쇄 플랩(64)은 일반적으로 두 방법 중 하나에 의해 형성될 수 있다. 한 방법은 개별적인 구조적 부재로서 각각의 봉쇄 플랩(64)을 만든 다음, 이것을 임의의 적당한 방법으로 라이너층(21)에 부착시키는 것이다. 이 방법에서는, 각각의 봉쇄 플랩(64)의 인접한 연부(68)을 라이너 층(21)에 부착시킨다. 또 다른 방법에 있어서 봉쇄 플랩(64)의 인접한 연석(68)를 라이너층(21)에 부착시킨다. 또 다른 방법에 있어서 봉쇄플랩(64)은 라이너 층(21)을 필수적으로 주름 잡은 다음 인접한 연부 (30)를 함께 부착시킴으로써 라이너 층(21)로부터 만들어진다. 두 방법에 있어서, 떨어져 있는 연부(70)은 신장된 상태로 그것에 부착되어있는 신장성 재료로 된 가닥(72)을 하나 이상을 포함한다. 봉쇄 플랩(64)의 전면 단부(74) 및 후면 단부(76)는 라이너 층(21)에 고정된다. 기저귀(2)를 해체하거나 체결할 때는, 탄성사(72)가 연부(70)를 라이너 층(21)으로부터 상방으로 늘어나게 한다. 이와 같이, 봉쇄 플랩(64)은 쿠션 배리어(52)에서와 같이 다리 커프스(44)의 내부에 또는 내측에 위치한다. 플랩(64)의 구조에 대한 보다 상세한 설명은 본 발명에서 참고로 도입한 미합중국 특허 제4,704,116호에 기재되어 있다.
허리 봉쇄 플랩(66)은 후면 연부 (10) 부근의 후면부(8)에 부착되어 있는 것을 제외하고는 봉쇄 플랩(64)과 동일하거나 유사할 수 있다. 허리 봉쇄 플랩(66)은 봉쇄 플랩(64)에서와 동일한 방식으로 구성될 수 있으며 동일한 재료로 제조될 수 있다. 봉쇄 플랩(64) 및 허리 봉쇄 플랩(66)은 모두 하기되는 액체 불투과성이거나 액체 투과성인 재료로 이루어질 수 있다.
제6도에 있어서, 기저귀(2)는 신생아용으로 최단길이가 약 30.48 cm 내지 약 94.93 cm (약 12in 내지 약13.75 in)인 것으로 예시하였다. 기저귀(2)는 하기 단계를 제외하고는 시중 기저귀와 동일한 방법으로 신생아에게 착용된다. 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)은 안으로 접혀져서 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)의 외표면과, 주 흡수체(22)가 서로 마주보고 있게 된다. 루프 표면(40) 및 전면 허리 밴드(51)는 접혀질 수 있는 흡수패널과 함께 접혀진다. 루프 표면(40)은 아기의 피부를 자극하지 않는 부드러운 재료로 이루어진다. 접는 단계 후에, 신생아를 기저귀(2) 위에 놓고 다리 사이에서 신생아의 앞쪽으로 전면부(4)를 끌어 당긴다. 이어서 이어 부재(14),(16)를 신생아의 허리둘레에 감싸고, 이어 부재(16)의 후크 표면(32)이 루프 표면(42)과 해체가능하게 체결되고 이어 부재(14)의 후크 표면(32)이 이어 부재(16)상의 루프 표면(38)과 체결되도록 위치시킨다. 이렇게 이어 부재(16) 및 (14)를 각각 루프 표면(42)과 루프 표면(38)에 고정시키는 것으로 조절하여 기저귀(2)를 신생아에게 기분좋고 평안하게 착용시킬 수 있다. 이렇게 접힌 형태에서, 기저귀(2)는 최단 길이이며, 이어 부재(14), (16)는 신생아 시기의 최소 측정치인 신생아 허리선에 맞도록 서로 중첩된다.
제7도에 있어서, 신생아가 생후 수주 또는 수개월 동안 빠르게 성장하기 시작함에 따라, 기저귀(2)를 성장 추세에 맞춰 필요한 만큼 조절할 수 있다. 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)은 안으로 접혀진 채로 있지만, 이어 부재(14), (16)는 신생아의 허리선이 증가함에 따라 필요한 만큼 비중첩 방식으로 루프 표면(42)상에 위치해 있을 수 있다. 이러한 기저귀(2)의 중간 크기 조절에 있어서, 두 이어 부재(14),(16)의 후크 표면(32)은 루프 표면(42)에 부착되어 있다.
신생아가 빠르게 계속 성장함에 따라, 기저귀(2)를 신생아의 신장 및 폭의 성장에 계속 맞춘다. 제8도에 나타낸 바와 같이, 신장 성장에 맞추어 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)을 제3도에 나타낸 바와 같이 주 흡수체(22)와 서로 같은 평면에 있도록 하여 기저귀(2)는 약 35.56 cm 내지 약 38.10 cm(약 14in 내지 약 15 in)의 최대 길이로 되고, 이어 부재(14), (16)는 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널(48)상의 루프 표면(40)에 비중첩 방식으로 부착된다.
제10도에 있어서, 쿠션 배리어(52),(58)의 변형을 숫자(53)로 나타내었다.
이러한 변형에는 신체 배설물을 수용하고 수거하는 다수의 컵형 부재(57)로 이루어진 1개 이상, 바람직하게는 2개의 줄(row)(55)이 포함된다. 부재(57)는 기저귀(2)의 세로 중앙선을 향해 안쪽으로 마주보고 있으며, 두 줄(55)가 존재할 경우, 한 줄(55)의 컵형 부재(57)는 다른 줄(55)은 부재(57)와 서로 엇갈리게 된다. 부재(57)는 액체 투과성이거나 불투과성이며 증기 투과성이거나 불투과성일 수 있다. 일반적으로, 부재(57)는 원하는 모양 및 기하하적 형태로 용이하게 성형되거나 형성될 수 있는 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 원한다면, 컵형 부재(57)의 줄(55)은 쿠션 배리어(52)를 갖출 수 있으며 각각의 쿠션 배리어(52)와 다리 커프스(44) 사이에 위치하게 될 것이다.
하부 시트(18)는 내주름(24)이 액체 불투과성이고 외주름(26)이 액체 투과성인 2-주름 복합체이다. 바람직하게는, 내주름(24)이 두께가 약12.70 내지 약 25.40 ㎛ (약 0.5 내지 약 1.0 mil)인 폴리프로필렌 필름이며, 외주름(26)은 바이로발(bilobal) 모양이며 섬유 데니어가 약 1.5 내지 약 4.0 dpf인 폴리프로필렌으로 이루어지고 기초 중량이 약 10.17 내지 약 33.91 g/m2(약 0.3 내지 약 1.0 oz/yd2)인 스펀본드 폴리프로필렌이다. 내주름(24) 및 외주름(26)은 스프레이 접착, 접착띠, 점선 결합, 열 결합, 음파 결합, 스펀본드층상의 필름층 압출 등과 같은 임의의 적당한 방법으로 연결될 수 있다. 하부 시트(18)는 액체 불투과성인 다른 재료로 이루어지거나 액체 불투과성으로 처리될 수 있다. 몇 가지 예로는 다른 폴리에틸렌 또는 폴리 올레핀 공중합체로 이루어진 멜트블로운 또는 필름 재료를 들 수 있다. 또한, 하부 시트(18)는 액체 불투과성일 뿐만 아니라 증기 투과성일 수 있다. 하부 시트(18)는 일반적으로 기저귀(2)의 모양을 형성하게 되며, 도면에 나타낸 바와 같이 일반적으로 측면 외부로 뻗어 있는 이어 부재(14),(16)를 갖는 모래시계 모양이다. 다른 모양도 사용할 수 있으며 사용된 재료의 종류, 그의 두께 등에 의존한다.
상부 시트(20)은 액체 투과성 재료로 이루어지며 이층 복합체인 것이 바람직하다. 바람직한 실시 태양에 있어서, 상부 시트(20)은 약 50.86 g/m2(약 1.5 osy(ox/yd2))의 기초 중량을 갖는 일체형으로 결합된 카디드 웹이다. 라이너 층(21)은 약 16.95 g/m2(약 0.5 osy))의 기초 중량 및 약 2.25 dpf의 섬유 데니어를 갖는 폴리에틸렌/폴리에스테르 이성분 섬유로 만들어진다. 이러한 종류의 이성분 섬유는 미합중국 28728 노쓰 캐롤라이나주 엔카에 소재한 바스프 코포레이션(BASF Corporation) 섬유로부터 구입할 수 있다. 서지 층(23)은 약 33.91 g/m2(약 1.0 osy)의 기초 중량을 갖고, 약 15dpf의 데니어를 갖는 폴리에스테르 섬유 약 75중량%와 폴리에틸렌/폴리프로필렌 이성분 섬유 약 25 중량%로 이루어진 섬유 매트릭스인 것이 바람직하다. 이들 섬유는 일본 530 오사까시 기따꾸 나까노시마 3쪼메 6방 32고에 소재한 짓소 코포레이션(Chisso Corporation) 섬유부로부터 구입할 수 있다. 이들 두 층은 예를 들면 통기 결합 또는 적외선 결합을 통해 통합될 수 있다. 상부 시트(20)는 약 0.02 gcc(g/cm3)의 밀도 및 약 0.254cm(약 0.10 in)의 벌크 두께를 갖는 것이 바람직하다. 이렇게 층과 섬유를 조합하여 신생아의 피부에 극히 부드럽고 온화한 표면을 제공함으로써 본 발명의 독특한 일면을 이룬다. 상부 시트(20)의 바람직한 실시 태양에서도 상부 시트(20)은 약 15 내지 약 102gsm(g/㎡)의 기초중량, 약 0.01 내지 약 0.08gcc의 밀도,약 1 내지 약 15 dpf의 섬유 데니어 및 약 1.27 내지 약 5.08 cm(약 0.5 내지 약 2.0 in)의 섬유 길이(여기서, 섬유는 2.54 cm(1 in)당 약 14 내지 22개의 크림프 범위로 크림프 가공될 수 있음)를 가질 수 있다.
또한, 상부 시트(20)는 합성 중합체 필라멘트, 스펀레이스 웹 등의 스펀본드웹과 같은 다른 액체 투과성 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 상부 시트(20)는 하부 시트(18)와 동일한 모양을 갖거나 길이 및 폭면에서 유사할 수 있다. 그러나, 상부 시트(20) 및 하부 시트(18)는 주 흡수체(22) 외부로 뻗어 있는 테두리를 가져서 테두리가 예를 들면, 접착띠 또는 음파 결합 또는 이들의 조합에 의해 함께 접착될 수 있는 것이 바람직하다.
주 흡수체(22)는 펄프가 약 13.4 g 존재하고 초흡수성 재료가 약 7.2 g 존재하는 펄프 플러프와 초흡수성 재료의 혼합물인 것이 바람직하다. 적당한 초흡수성 재료는 미합중국 23703 버지니아주 포츠마우쓰 웨스트 노르포크 로드 3340 포츠마우쓰 테크니칼 센터에 소재한 훽스트 셀라니즈(Hoechst Celanese)의 초흡수체부로부터 구입할 수 있다. 그외의 초흡수성 재료도 적절히 사용될 수 있으며, 예로는 실리카겔과 같은 유기 재료 또는 가교된 중합체와 같은 유기 화합물을 포함한다. 초흡수성 재료는 입자, 섬유소, 층 등과 각종 형태일 수 있다. 초흡수성 재료, 및 플러프는 균일하게 혼합되어 Z-구배를 가질 수 있거나, 또는 초흡수성 재료가 플러프내에 적층되거나 다층화될 수 있다. 흡수체(22)는 약 264.52 cm2(약 41 in2) 표면적, 약 0.2 gcc의 밀도 및 약 778 gsm의 기초 중량을 갖는 것이 바람직하다.
흡수체(22)는 약 22 gsm의 기초 중량을 갖는 표준 티슈 랩(wrap)의 2층을 포함한다. 티슈 랩은 흡수체(22)의 주변을 따라 접착 밀봉되거나 또는 원한다면 열 밀봉될 수 있다.
접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널 (48)은 흡수체(22)와 동일한 재료 또는 상이한 적당한 재료로 이루어질 수 있다. 예를 들면, 접혀질 수 있는 패널(48)은 흡수체가 아닌 것이 바람직하므로, 액체 불투과성 층내에 둘러싸여지는 비흡수성 재료 또는 흡수성 재료로 이루어진다.
주 흡수체(22) 및 흡수 패널(48)은 임의의 적당한 방법, 예를 들면, 접착띠에 의해 하부 시트(18)에 부착 또는 연결될 수 있다.
루프 표면(38), (40), (42)은 미합중국 27402 노쓰 캐롤라이나주 그린스보로 웨스트 마킷트 스트리트 6001 에 소재한 길포드 밀스 인크(Guilford Mills, inc.)로부터 구입 가능한 루프 재료, 길포드 루프 스타일 제18903호 또는 제19902호로 이루어진 것이 바람직하다. 루프 표면(38),(40),(42) 각각의 모양은 기저귀(2)의 전체 모양에 의존한다. 설명된 바와 같이, 루프 표면(38)은 직사각형이고, 루프 표면(40),(42)도 직사각형이며 거의 전면부(4)의 폭을 따라 걸쳐 있다. 루프 표면(38),(40),(42)은 접착띠, 음파 결합 또는 임의의 기타 적당한 수단에 의해 하부 시트(18)에 부착될 수 있다.
후크 표면(32)은 미합중국 뉴햄스피어주 맨체스터에 소재한 벨크로 유에스에이(Velcro USA)로부터 구입 가능한 후크 재료, 후크(Hook) HTH 708인 것이 바람직하다. 후크 표면(32)은 접착띠, 음파 결합 등에 의해 이어 부재(14),(16)에 부착된다.
탄성사(46), 탄성사(50), 탄성사(62), 및 탄성사(72)로 만들어진 탄성 재료는 라이크라 (Lycra)가 바람직하다.
쿠션 배리어(52)(58)는 주 흡수체(22)와 동일한 재료로 이루어지거나 또는 플러프 섬유 또는 합성 섬유 단독으로 이루어질 수 있다. 배리어(52),(58)가 흡수체가 아닌 것을 원할 경우, 이들은 발포성 재료와 같은 임의의 적당한 탄성 재료로 이루어질 수 있다.
제5도에서는 쿠션 배리어(52),(58)가 봉쇄 플랩(64),(66)으로 대체된 것으로 나타나 있지만, 본 발명에서는 이들 부재의 다른 조합도 예상한다. 예를 들면, 기저귀(2)는 허리 봉쇄 플랩(66)을 가진 가랑이 쿠션 배리어(52) 또는 봉쇄 플랩(64)을 가진 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어 (58)를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명은 바람직한 실시 태양으로서 설명되어 있지만, 더 변형될 수 있다는 것을 이해해야 한다. 그러므로, 이러한 응용에는 본 발명이 속하는 당 분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 명백하며 첨부된 특허 청구의 범주내에 포함되는 임의의 변형, 등가물, 용도 또는 본 발명의 일반적 원리의 개작이 포함된다.

Claims (45)

  1. 전면 연부가 있는 전면부, 후면 연부가 있는 후면부 및 중간 가랑이부를 포함한 하부 시트, 적어도 상기 중간 가랑이부상에 위치해 있는 주 흡수체, 및 상기 주 흡수체와 상기 전면부의 전면 연부 사이의 상기 전면부상에 위치해 있는 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널로 이루어지며, 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널은 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널이 상기 주 흡수체와 실질적으로 같은 평면에 있는 제1위치와 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널이 상기 주 흡수체 위로 안으로 접혀진 제2위치 사이에서 이동할 수 있어서 용품의 길이를 신생아의 성장에 맞도록 조절할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 성장에 따라 조절할 수 있는 흡수 용품.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널과 작동가능하게 연결된 탄성 부재를 더 포함하는 용품.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하부 시트의 상기 후면 연부에 인접하여 위치해 있는 후면허리 쿠션 배리어를 더 포함하는 용품.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가랑이부의 각 측면상에 가랑이 쿠션 배리어를 더 포함하는 용품.
  5. 제3항에 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 흡수성 재료로 이루어진 용품.
  6. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 비흡수성 재료로 이루어진 용품.
  7. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 액체 불투과성인 용품.
  8. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 액체 투과성인 용품.
  9. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 발포성 재료로 이루어진 용품.
  10. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어와 작동 가능하게 연결된 탄성 부재를 더 포함하는 용품.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 주 흡수체 및 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널과는 반대면의 상기 전면부상의 루프 표면, 및 각각이 후크 표면을 포함한, 상기 후면부의 대향 측면상에 각각 위치해 있는 한 쌍의 이어 부재를 더 포함하며, 상기 후크 표면이 상기 루프 표면과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 루프 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널과는 반대면의 하부 시트상에 있으면서 상기 흡수 패널과 함께 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면의 내측을 위치해 있는 상기 하부 시트 상의 접히지 않는 루프 표면으로 이루어진 용품.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 후크 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접히지 않는 루프 표면 모두와 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  14. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 후크 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접히지 않는 모든 루프 표면 중 하나와 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  15. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 이어 부재 중 하나가 상기 후크 표면과는 반대면에 루프 패널을 더 포함하고, 상기 한 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면이 상기 루프 표면과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있고, 상기 다른 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면이 상기 한 이어 부재상의 상기 루프 패널과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 루프 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널과는 반대면의 상기 하부 시트상에 있으면서 상기 흡수 패널과 함께 접혀질 수 있는 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면의 내측으로 위치해 있는 접히지 않는 루프 표면으로 이루어지고, 상기 접혀질 수 있는 흡수 패널이 상기 접혀진 제2위치에 있을 때 상기 한 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면은 상기 접히지 않는 루프 표면과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있으며, 상기 다른 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면은 상기 한 이어 부재상의 상기 루프 패널과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  17. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 신체 배설물을 수거하기 위한 1줄 이상의 컵형 부재로 이루어진 용품.
  18. 제1항에 있어서, 이성분 섬유로 이루어진 상부 시트를 더 포함하는 용품.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 이성분 섬유가 쉬드-코어(sheath-core)섬유인 용품.
  20. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 이성분 섬유가 사이드-바이- 사이드(side-by-side)섬유인 용품.
  21. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 상부 시트가 약 15 내지 약 102 g/m2의 기초 중량 및 약 0.01 내지 0.08 g/cm3의 밀도를 갖는 용품.
  22. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 섬유가 약 1 내지 약 15 dpf의 데니어 및 약 1.27 내지 약 5.08 cm(약 0.5 내지 약 2.0 in)의 길이를 갖는 용품.
  23. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 섬유가 2.54 cm(1 in)당 약 14 내지 약 22개의 크림프를 갖는 용품.
  24. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가랑이부의 각 측면상에 봉쇄 플랩을 더 포함하는 용품.

  26. 전면 연부가 있는 전면부, 후면 연부가 있는 후면부 및 중간 가랑이부를 포함한 하부 시트, 적어도 상기 중간 가랑이부상에 위치해 있는 주 흡수체, 상기 주 흡수체와 상기 전면 연부 사이의 상기 전면부상에 위치해 있고, 상기 주 흡수체와 실질적으로 같은 평면에 있는 제1위치와 상기 주 흡수체 위로 안으로 접혀진 제2 위치 사이에서 이동 할 수 있는 접혀질 수 있는 패널 및 상기 가랑이부의 각각의 측면상에 위치해 있는 한 쌍의 가랑이 쿠션 배리어로 이루어진 , 성장에 따라 조절할 수 있는 흡수 용품.
  27. 제26항에 있어서, 상기 하부 시트의 상기 후면 연부에 인접하여 위치해 있는 후면 허리 쿠션 배리어를 더 포함하는 용품.
  28. 제27항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 흡수성 재료로 이루어진 용품.
  29. 제27항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 비 흡수성 재료로 이루어진 용품.
  30. 제27항에 있어서, 상기 쿠션 배리어가 약체 불투과성인 용품.

  35. 제34항에 있어서, 상기 루프 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 패널과는 반대면의 상기 하부 시트상에 있으면서 상기 패널과 함께 접혀질 수 있는 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면의 내측으로 위치해 있는 상기 하부 시트상의 접히지 않는 루프 표면으로 이루어진 용품.

  37. 제35항에 있어서, 상기 후크 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접히지 않는 루프 표면 중 하나와 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  38. 제34항에 있어서, 상기 이어 부재 중 하나가 상기 후크 표면과는 반대면에 루프 패널을 더 포함하며, 상기 한 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면이 상기 루프 표면과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있고, 상기 다른 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면이 상기 한 이어 부재상의 상기 루프 패널과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  39. 제38항에 있어서, 상기 루프 표면이 상기 접혀질 수 있는 패널과는 반대면의 상기 하부 시트 상에 있으면서 상기 패널과 함께 접혀질 수 있는 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면 및 상기 접혀질 수 있는 루프 표면의 내측으로 위치해 있는 접히지 않는 루프 표면으로 이루어지며, 상기 접혀질 수 있는 패널이 접혀진 제2위치에 있는 경우 상기 한 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면은 상기 접히지 않는 루프 표면과 해체 가능하게 체결될 수 있고, 상기 다른 이어 부재의 상기 후크 표면은 상기 한 이어 부재상의 상기 루프패널과 해체가능하게 체결될 수 있는 용품.
  40. 제26항에 있어서, 이성분 섬유로 이루어지는 상부 시트를 더 포함하는 용품.
  41. 제40항에 있어서, 상기 이성분 섬유가 쉬드-고어 섬유인 용품.
  42. 제40항에 있어서, 상기 이성분 섬유가 사이드-바이-사이드 섬유인 용품.
  43. 제40항에 있어서, 상기 상부 시트가 약 15 내지 약 102 g/m2의 기초 중량 및 약 0.01 내지 약 0.08 g/cm3의 밀도를 갖는 용품.
  44. 제 40항에 있어서, 상기 섬유가 약 1 내지 약 15dpf의 데니어 및 약 1.27 내지 약 5.08 cm(약 0.5 내지 약 2.0 in)의 길이를 갖는 용품.
