Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- (a) 2이상의 도메인을 갖는 제1기판 상의 각 도메인에 상이한 높이로 광배향막을 형성되는 단계;(b) 상기 광배향막 상에 광조사 공정을 실시하여 각 도메인에 상이한 프리틸트각을 형성하는 단계;(c) 제2기판을 준비하는 단계;(d) 상기 제1기판 상에 일정거리 이격되어 대향되도록 상기 제2기판을 배치하는 단계; 및(e) 상기 제1 및 제2기판 사이에 액정층을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 (a)단계는(f) 상기 기판 상에 평탄하게 감광 물질을 증착하는 단계:(g) 일부 도메인상의 감광물질을 선택적으로 제거하는 단계; 및(h) 상기 결과물 전면에 광배향막을 평탄하게 도포하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 (g)단계는 포토리소그래피 공정에 의해 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 (b)단계는 1회 또는 2회 이상의 광조사에 의해 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 (b)단계는 UV광을 이용하여 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 (a)단계는(i) 상기 기판 상에 평탄하게 광배향막을 증착하는 단계: 및(j) 일부 도메인상의 광배향막을 선택적으로 소정 깊이 식각하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 (j)단계는 고강도의 광을 조사함으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 고강도의 광은 80 내지 90 Watt의 강도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 고강도의 광은 레이저인 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 (c)단계는(a) 2이상의 도메인을 갖는 제2기판 상의 각 도메인에 상이한 높이로 광배향막을 형성하는 단계; 및(b) 상기 광배향막상에 광조사 공정을 실시하여 각 도메인에 상이한 프리틸트각을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DDTN 액정셀의 제조방법.
