Claims (8)
- 액정층을 개재해서 서로 교차하도록 대향배치되는 복수의 데이터선 및 복수의 주사선과, 상기 각 데이터선에 2레벨로 이루어진 전압의 신호를 표시내용에 따라서 선택적으로 출력하는 데이터구동회로와, 상기 주사선에 2레벨의 교류화된 전압의 신호를 소정주기로 선택적으로 출력하는 주사구동회로와, 상기 주사구동회로 및 상기 데이터구동회로에 각각 상기 각 레벨로 이루어진 구동전압을 공급하는 전원회로를 구비한 것으로서, 상기 전원회로는, 상기 데이터구동회로에 공급되는 구동전압에 할당되는 로직전원을 승압하는 승압회로를 구비하고, 그 승압된 전원의 중간레벨의 전위를 주사선의 비선택신호전압으로서 할당하는 동시에, 나머지의 전위를 주사선의 선택신호전압으로서 할당하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 승압회로는, 주사선의 비선택신호전압으로서 할당된 전위를 기준으로 해서 정극성(正極性)쪽과 부극성(負極性)쪽을 동일한 승압비로 승압시키는 1쌍의 회로로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 승압회로가 1쌍의 상기 회로의 각각의 승압비의 불균일을 조정하는 조정수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 주사구동회로 및 상기 데이터구동회로의 동작의 기준이 되는 프레임주파수가, 150Hz근처∼360Hz까지인 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 대향배치되는 복수의 데이터선 및 복수의 주사선의 사이에 형성되는 액정층의 액정재료는, 다음의 일반식으로 표시되는 PCH계 액정을 10∼50wt%의 범위에서 첨가한 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 액정의 비틀림각이 200°∼270°의 STN(Super Twisted Nematic)액정을 함유한 액정층을 개재해서, 서로 교차하도록 대향 배치되는 복수의 데이터선 및 복수의 주사선과, 상기 각 데이터선에 2레벨로 이루어지는 전압의 신호를 표시내용에 따라서 선택적으로 출력하는 데이터구동회로와, 상기 주사선에 3레벨의 교류화된 전압의 신호를 소정주기로 선택적으로 출력하는 주사구동회로와, 상기 주사구동회로 및 상기 데이터구동회로에 각각 상기 각 레벨로 이루어지는 구동전압을 공급하는 전원회로를 구비한 것으로서, 상기 전원회로는, 상기 데이터구동회로에 공급되는 구동전압에 할당되는 로직전원을 승압하는 승압회로를 구비하고, 그 승압된 전원의 중간레벨의 전위를 주사선의 비선택신호전압으로서 할당하는 동시에, 나머지의 전위를 주사선의 선택신호전압으로서 할당하고, 상기 주사구동회로 및 상기 데이터구동회로의 동작의 기준이 되는 프레임주파수가, 150Hz근처∼360Hz까지인 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 승압회로는, 주사선의 비선택신호전압으로서 할당된 전위를 기준으로해서 정극성쪽과 부극성쪽을 동일 승압비로 승압시키는 1쌍의 회로로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 승압회로가 1쌍의 상기 회로의 각각의 승압비의 불균일을 조정하는 조정수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 단순매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
