Claims (18)
- 폐기물을 접합제와 혼합하는 단계; 혼합물을 펠릿으로 형성하는 단계; 1300℃ 이상의 온도에 펠릿 덩어리 없이 혼합물을 소각하기 위하여 선택된 비-덩어리(non-agglomeration) 물질로 펠릿을 코팅하는 단계; 상기 코팅된 펠릿을 킬른(kiln)으로 공급하는 단계; 1300℃ 이상의 온도에서 상기 공급된 펠릿을 소각(firing)하는 단계; 상기 소각된 펠릿을 상기 킬른으로부터 방출하는 단계; 및 펠릿의 소각열중 적어도 일부분을 회복하고 재생하는 단계로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폐기물 재료가 자체내에 접합제를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폐기물 재료는 연소가능한 성분을 함유하거나, 연소가능한 재료가 소각전에 혼합물에 첨가됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 킬른은 로타리 다운드래프트 킬른임을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 펠릿화된 혼합물의 소각이 킬른내의 펠릿의 잔류시간을 변동시킴으로써 제어됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 잔류시간은 킬른의 길이, 킬른의 경사도 및 회전율 중 하나 이상을 변동시킴으로써 변동됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 킬른에서 배출된 연료가스가 대기로 배출되기 이전에 선택된 가스성분 및/또는 입자를 제거하기 위하여 침전 및/또는 세정에 의하여 처리되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비-덩어리 물질은 규산 알루미늄(aluminum silicate) 및 내화성 흙중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 열회복단계는 킬른 연료가스 및 킬른 연소공기 사이의 열교환을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 가열된 킬른 연소공기의 적어도 일부분이 킬른으로 공급되기 이전에 그 온도를 상승시키기 위하여, 폐기물 펠릿을 통하여 지나가는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 열교환 단계는, 상기 연료가스와 접촉하는 적어도 하나의 표면 및 킬른으로 공급되는 킬른 연소공기와 접촉하는 적어도 하나의 다른 표면을 가지는 열흡수재로 구성되어 있는 열교환기에 의하여 달성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 열회복 단계는 킬른 몸체내부에 장착되어 있는 도관을 통하여 킬른 연소가스를 상기 열교환기로 전달하는 단계를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 열교환기는 공기 온도의 제어가 상기 열교환기를 통한 공기흐름 비율을 제어하는 것에 의하여 달성되도록 하는 열용량을 가지는 내화성 물질로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 회전 킬른은 원통형 상부부분 및 상기 상부부분 보다 작은 직경의 원통형 하부부분으로 이루어지는 킬른 몸체와, 펠릿화된 폐기물을 킬른 몸체로 공급하기 위한 공급수단과, 소각된 폐기물을 킬른 몸체로부터 제거하기 위한 방출수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 방출수단은 방출되는 폐기물로부터 열을 회복하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 공기를 예열하기 위하여 킬른 연소가스의 적어도 일부분을 상기 방출된 폐기물을 관통하거나, 그 위로 지나가도록 함으로써, 상기 방출 폐기물로부터의 열회복이 달성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 킬른내부에는 내화벽돌이 둘러져 있어서, 1300℃ 이상의 처리온도를 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 코팅된 펠릿이 열분해되기 이전에 소각되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐기물 처리방법.
