일반적으로 차량은 각 구성부품의 형상이나 각 부품간의 결합위치에 미세한 오차가 발생할 경우 차량의 주행성능과 관계없이 이상진동을 발생하게 되며, 이와같은 이상진동은 차량에 따라 각기 다른 고유의 진동을 갖는 한편, 그 크기에 있어서도 각 구성부품의 형상이나 각 부품간의 결합위치에 대한 오차에 따라 각기 다른 양상을 갖게 되는데, 이와같은 이상진동은 차량의 주행성능에는 직접 영향을 미치지 않으나 승차감을 저하시키는 원인이 되는 관계로, 차량의 생산공정 중 검사단계에서는 이상진동이 발생한 차량에 대해 트렁크 내부의 타이어 수납공간이나 엔진룸과 같이 외부로부터 은폐된 곳에 다이나믹 댐퍼를 설치하게 되며, 상기한 다이나믹 댐퍼는 일측에 구비한 탄성부재의 내부마찰에 의해 차량으로부터 발생한 이상진동을 상쇄시키므로써 이상진동을 감소시키거나 소멸하도록 하게 되며, 이와같이 차량으로부터 발생한 이상진동을 상쇄시키도록 한 다이나믹 댐퍼는 진동수 f=1/2π√K/F Hz(M:질량, K:강성)의 공식에서와 같이 탄성부재의 강성을 적절히 변화시키므로써 차량에 따라 각기 다른 고유의 진동수와 진폭을 갖는 진동특성에 대응하여 이상진동을 상쇄시키게 된다.In general, when a small error occurs in the shape of each component or the coupling position between the components, the vehicle generates abnormal vibrations regardless of the driving performance of the vehicle.
