Description
Claims (14)
- 액정셀의 외면을 형성하기 위한 제1 및 제2투명성 기판층(14,16)과, 각각 투명성 전기 도전물질로 형성되며, 상기 제1기판층(14)에 인접하게 배치된 제1전극층(18)과, 상기 제2기판층(16)에 인접하게 배치된 제2전극층(20)과, 상기 전극층들 사이에 배치된 스메틱 액정층(12)과, 상기 액정층과 상기 제2전극층 사이에 가시방사선을 통과시키지만 적외선 방사선을 흡수하기 위해 배치된 수단(24 : 흡수기)을 포함하는 레이저 어드레스 가능한 액정셀에 있어서, 상기 적외선을 흡수하기 위해 배치된 수단(24)은 방사선 물질 흡수층(28)과, 적외선 방사선을 선택적으로 반사하고 가시방사선을 통과하는 층(26)과, 상기 층(28,26)사이에 배치된 유전체 물질로된 스페이서층(30)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 셀은 상기 제1기판층(14)을 통해 레이저 어드레스되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 셀은 상기 제2기판층(16)을 통해 레이저 어드레스되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 방사선 흡수 물질층(28)은 금속재료로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 방사선 흡수 물질층(28)은 니켈로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서 층(30)은 이산화실리콘 물질로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서 층(30)은 불화마그네슘 물질로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 선택적 반사층(26)은 유전체 미러인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1형, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 선택적 반사층(26)은 제1과 제2유전체 물질로된 다수의 교대층을 포함하며, 상기 제1물질은 상기 제2물질에 대해 비교적 고굴절율을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 교대층 각각은 상기 적외신 방사선의 파장의 1/4의 광 두께인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제1물질은 XO2이며, 여기서 X는 Ti, Hf 및 Zr를 포함하는 그룹으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제2물질은 이산화 실리콘인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제2물질은 불화마그네슘인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2전극층(18,20)은 산화인듐-주석물질로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정셀.
