Claims (3)
- 다수의 라인 인터페이스부(11)와 시스템 관리부(14)를 구비하는 스위칭 장치에 있어서, 상기 라인 인터 페이스부(11)를 통해 입력되는 전송 프레임에 동기되는 수신클럭신호와 연결식별자 및 패킷의 목적지 정보(라우팅 태그)를 입력받아 이들 신호의 버퍼링 및 노이즈 제거 기능을 수행하며 인접 유니트간의 접속기능을 수행하는 다수의 IPDU(Input Port Driving Unit)(31); 상기 IPDU(31)로부터 패킷 흐름에 해당하는 데이타와 이에 관련한 제어신호로 구성된 연속된 패킷을 입력받아 수신 패킷의 선택여부를 판단하여 입력패킷을 일시 저장하며, 상기 패킷을 라우팅하기 위하여 목적지 정보에 따라 역다중화하고 복제하며, 또한 특정 입력링크에 오버플로우가 발생하는 경우에 상기 패킷을 일시 저장하는 기능을 수행하는 다수의 SIDU(Switch Input Demux Unit)(32); 각 SIDU(32)에 상호 완전 연결되어(fully interconnect) 있는 입력링크를 통해 라우팅 된 각각의 패킷을 수신하여 출력버퍼에 모은 후, 하나의 패킷흐름으로 출력다중화하는 다수의 SOMU(Switch Output MUX Unit)(33); 상기 SOMU(33)로부터 출력되는 패킷 흐름을 각 라인 입력페이스부로 출력하는 다수의 OPDU(Pauput Port Driving Unit)(34);각각의 SOMU(33)를 제어하고 상태를 검사하여 관리 프로세스로 상태보고 하는 SMCU(Switch Module Control Unit)(36); 상기 SMCU(36)의 상태정보에 따라 오류발생 스위치를 대체하는 이중화기능을 수행하는 SCCU(Switch Change-over Control Unit)(37); 외부로부터 시스템 클럭을 수신하여 스위칭 장치를 구성하는 각 유니트로 공급하는 SCDU(System Clock Distribution)(35); 스위칭 장치와 프로세스와의 인터페이스를 제공하는 PICU(Proceeor Interface Control Unit)(38); 및 스위칭 장치의 초기화를 수행하는 RSCU(RsSet Control Unit)(39)를 포함하는 스위칭부(12)를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중화기와 역다중화기를 이용한 고정길이 패킷 스위칭 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 SIDU(Switch Input Demux Unit)(32)는, IPDU(31)로부터 고정길이의 패킷을 입력받아 수신 패킷의 선택여부를 판단하고, 그에 따라 SIDU(32)의 각 구성요소를 제어하기 위한 제어신호를 발생하는 역다중화 제어부(41); 상기 역다중화 제어부(41)의 제어에 따라 수신 패킷을 저장하는 큐(42); 상기 역다중화 제어부(41)의 제어에 따라 상기 큐(42)에서 출력되는 패킷을 역다중화하여 SOMU(33)로 출력하는 역다중화 기능부(44); 및 임의의 SOMU(33)의 내부버퍼에 일시적인 오버플로우가 발생하면 상기 역다중화 기능부(44)로부터 출력되는 패킷을 저장하는 큐(43)를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중화기와 역다중화기를 이용한 고정길이 패킷 스위칭 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 SOMU(Switch Output MUX Unit)(33)는, BCSU(Buffering Control SubUnit)(52)의 제어에 따라 SIDU(32)로부터 셀 흐름을 수신하는 CISU(Cell Input SubUnit)(51); 상기 BCSU(52)의 제어에 따라 CISU(51)로부터 수신한 셀 흐름을 저장하는 IBSU(Internal Buffer SubUnit)(53); 각 IBSU(53)에 저장되어 있는 셀의 수준정보를 상기 BCSU(52)로부터 입력받아 LIFO(Loaded Input First Output)으 큐서비스 방식을 이용하여 각 입력버퍼(53)의 셀의 다중화하를 제어하는 ACSU(Arbitration Control SubUnit)(54); 상기 ACSU(54)의 제어에 따라 각 IBSU(53)로부터 입력속도의 정수배로 셀을 읽어 내어 다중화하는 다중화부(55); 상기 다중화부(55)에 의해 다중화된 패킷을 저장하는 OBSU(Output Buffer SubUnit)(56); 및 상기 OBSU(56)에 일시 저장된 셀을 읽어 내어 외부속도에 정합하여 송신하는 셀 송신부(57)를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중화기와 역다중화기를 이용한 고정길이 패킷 스위칭 장치.
