Abstract

PURPOSE:To form reversed face characters or figures, by superposing a colored layer of a light-transmitting thermal recording sheet and a resin layer of a heat-sensitive sheet on each other, and externally applying heat to the back side of a base of the heat-sensitive sheet in a predetermined pattern. CONSTITUTION:A light-transmitting thermal recording sheet comprising a thermoplastic or heat-fusible colored layer on a light-transmitting base and a heat- sensitive sheet comprising a thermoplastic or heat-fusible resin layer on a base are superposed on each other so that the colored layer and the resin layer make close contact with each other. Next, externally generated heat is applied to the back side of the base of the heat-sensitive sheet in a predetermined pattern, whereby the colored layer and the resin layer are thermally fused to each other. Thereafter, the thermal recording sheet and the heat-fusible sheet are separated from each other, thereby transferring the colored layer in the pattern from the thermal recording sheet to the heat-sensitive sheet.
