Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title tape excellent in corrosion inhibition, heat resistance, workability, flexibility and a capability of following a profile, by incorporating a long fiber in a specified epoxy resin composition so that the direction of the length of the fiber may coincide with the direction of the length of the tape. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. epoxy resin (a) is mixed with a curing agent (b) which can perform curing at 50-150 deg.C, 0-100pts.wt. filler (c), 0-30pts.wt. reaction diluent, a plasticizer, etc. (d) and 0.1-5pts.wt., optionally, a coupling agent, a leveling agent, an antifoamer, a modifier, an antioxidant, etc. (e) to obtain an epoxy resin composition (A) having a viscosity of 10,000-1,000,000 P and adhesiveness sufficient to support its own weight at room temperature. Component A is molded into a long film and 2-15vol.% long fiber formed by gathering single fibers of a diameter of <=40mum, which is a heat-resistant plastic fiber or inorganic fiber (B) which does not soften at a temperature at which the obtained tape is cured by heating, are incorporated in the tape so that the direction of the length of the fiber may coincide with the direction of the length of the tape, and the obtained tape is cut into pieces of a desired width and a desired length and, optionally, a 5-1,000mum-thick plastic tape is optionally laminated on them.
