Abstract

PURPOSE:To display a picture high in a resolution without a flicker by generating a scanning side driving signal in the sequence of an even number row and an odd number row in an odd number field and in the sequence of the odd number row and the even number row in an even number field. CONSTITUTION:The video data of 1H is written alternately to line memories 102, 103 for every one horizontal period (1H), the video data written in the latter half of a next 1H is read, transferred to a signal side driving circuit 108 and simultaneously written in a field memory 104. In the first half of the respective horizontal periods, the video data before one field written in the memory 104 is read correspondingly to the respective horizontal periods. The circuit 108 generates the scanning side driving signal in the sequence of the even number row and the odd number row in the odd number field and in the sequence of the odd number row and the even number row in the even number field. Thereby, the video consisting of the video data of the preceding field stored in the memory 104 and the video data of a current field stored in the memories 102, 103 can be displayed on a normal scanning position on a display part 110.
