Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect abnormal variation of pressure during a pressure swinging adsorption cycle by using an intermediate pressure sensor which operates at a pressure between the highest pressure and the lowest pressure in a normal operation stage. CONSTITUTION:After regulating the pressure of compressed air compressed by a compressor and introduced into a pressure sensor via a cooler and a drain trap to a previously set predetermined pressure between the highest pressure and the lowest pressure in a normal operation, the air is introduced alternately into n (at least one) adsorption beds packed with an adsorbent which is more selective to N2 than to O2, and the obtd. O2-rich gas is introduced into a storage tank. Then, the O2-rich gas is used after passing the gas through a pressure reducing valve, a germ removing filter, a flow rate setter, and a humidifier.
