Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent vegetables in a refrigerating compartment from becoming rotten at a high external air temperature without disabling temperature control in the freezer at a low external air temperature by alternately aligning at least two rows of square holes side by side at the boundary line part between the refrigerating compartment and a third compartment on the cover of a temperature-controlling device. CONSTITUTION: Two rows of square holes 18 are alternately aligned side by side at a boundary part 17 of a refrigerating compartment 3 of a cover 9 of a temperature-controller 8 and a third compartment 4. The temperatures of the refrigerating compartment 3 and the compartment 4 are controlled to approximately 3-5 deg.C and -3 deg.C, respectively, and the temperature difference between both compartments is 6-8 deg.C. Therefore, the temperature of the cover 9 is cooled at the side of the refrigerating compartment 3 but heat conduction is broken by the square holes being arranged at the boundary part 17 of both compartments 3 and 4 and at the same time heat conduction distance is extended since the square holes 18 are alternately aligned, thus preventing cooling and hence preventing defrosting and formation of dews from occurring regarding the heat conduction of the cover 9 among the square holes 18. In this manner, two rows of square holes 18 are alternately aligned side by side and the cover 9 is opened thus preventing the strength of the cover 9 from decreasing and the disabling of temperature control of the compartments 3 and 4 and then vegetables in the compartment 3 from becoming rotten.
