Abstract

PURPOSE: To take a photograph of a blocked cloth having a striped pattern with a camera and the angle of the pattern and its position is detected by an image signal treating and a motor of a cloth position correcting means is driven to perform a pattern matching. CONSTITUTION: A blocked cloth 15 having a striped pattern is photographed with a camera 22 and the resultant image signal is stored in an image memory through an A/D converter. The stored image data are read out from a prescribed position of addresses in the image memory so as to be some prescribed angles and the read out data are integrated, then when the integrated value is detected a value extremely different from the others in comparing with the other plural integrated values, the angle and position of the stripe pattern is detected from the value. From a corrected value of the angle and position, the position of the cloth is corrected by driving motors 18 and 20 of the cloth position collecting device 16 to mount the cloth 15 on a holding and fixing means 25.
