Previously, even if it was a prank call or a mistaken call, the bell would ring, and you wouldn't know whether it was a normal call or not until you answered the call. In order to improve this, there was a method to automatically receive a call, send a message using a tape recorder, and monitor the other party's voice to determine if it was a prank call or a mistaken call. This type of device is used for response purposes.
Because a tape recorder was used, only one type of response message could be set, and it was difficult to send a message that matched the content of the other party's conversation.

In order to solve these drawbacks, the present invention uses a speech synthesizer for answering calls, selects a message from among the standard messages used when answering and passing calls, and synthesizes the message by pressing a button. A message response system that simultaneously sends a message when pressed, monitors the other party's voice, and selects and sends another message accordingly, allowing the called party to answer and pass the call without having to speak. The purpose is to provide telephone equipment. The drawings will be explained in detail below.

The operation of this embodiment will be explained below. When a call arrives while the user is in the room, the incoming call detection circuit 1 detects an IR signal (calling signal) sent via the subscriber line 5.
is detected and the incoming call information is provided to the control unit 2. Control part 2
controls the path control circuit 3 to form a loop circuit with the calling party, and causes the speech synthesizer 4 to send a message such as the one shown in FIG. 2 to the other party via the line 5, and at the same time amplifier 6
The message can be monitored by also sending it to a speaker via the .

In this manner, when the synthesis and transmission of the voice ``This is XX Shoji.'' is completed, a voice completion signal is sent from the voice synthesizer 4 to the control unit 2. After detecting the end-of-voice signal, the control section 2 connects the line 5 to the amplifier 6 via the bus control circuit 3 so that the voice of the caller can be monitored through the speaker 7. The called party listens to the caller's voice monitored by the speaker, selects one of the messages shown in . . . , and presses the corresponding button 8.
After detecting the generation end signal, the control unit 2 enables speaker monitoring and also monitors the press of the button 8. When one of the buttons 8 is pressed, the control unit 2 detects this via the key interface circuit 12, accesses the voice memory 9 in which the message corresponding to the pressed button is stored, While obtaining the voice information, it drives the voice synthesizer 4 to synthesize a message and sends it out to the speaker 7 via the amplifier 6.
It will also be sent to

Thereafter, the speaker monitor, button monitoring, message composition and transmission are repeated, allowing the called party to answer the telephone without speaking. Furthermore, if the called party wishes to stop the voice synthesizer response and make the call himself, the called party picks up the handset of the telephone section 10, which activates the off-hook detection circuit 11. When the control unit 2 detects this, it stops the message sending control by the voice synthesizer 4, and instead the telephone unit 10 is connected to the line 5 via the path control circuit 3, and can communicate with the caller. In FIG. 1, the paths indicated by thick arrows indicate the flow of digital control signals, and the paths indicated by a single thin line indicate the flow of analog signals.

As explained above, according to the telephone device according to the present invention, the called party can answer and pass the call without speaking by simply pressing the button corresponding to the message while listening to the other party's voice.
This has the advantage of reducing the psychological burden of responding to prank calls or mistaken calls.
