Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic relay with high magnetization efficiency and high sensitivity by providing a projection at the center of the end section of a U-shaped iron core, providing a notch at the center of the end section of an armature mating with it, and bringing them into contact with each other at a clearance. CONSTITUTION:Movable contact springs 6 with movable contacts 4 and hinge spring sections 5 are arranged on both sides of an armature 3 and integrally fixed by an insulating fixed body 7 to form a movable contact spring block. A notch 3a is provided on the tip of this armature 3. A coil is wound on a coil spool 9 buried with a U-shaped iron core 1 and a coil terminal 8, a magnetic pole piece 11 serving as the fulcrum of the tilting motion of the armature 3 and a permanent magnet 10 are fixed to a permanent magnet fitting hole section 18 provided at the center in the iron core 1 to form a coil assembly, and a projection 1a is provided on the iron core 1 so as to be brought into contact with the notch 3a of the armature 3. A fixed terminal 13 fixed with a fixed contact 12, a neutral terminal 14, and a coil guide terminal 15 are buried to form an insulator substrate 16.
