Abstract

PURPOSE:To omit troublesome hand writing to an index card by writing automatically index information other than such a title as a start address, a channel and a date, etc., into a text memory at the time of starting or ending picture recording. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting up the picture recording, such index information as the start address and the date, etc., and at the time of ending the picture recording, such index information as an end address and a picture rerecording inhibiting flag, etc., are inputted into a microprocessor 3 by means of a key of a character input and command circuit 5. A timing controller 9 is controlled by the processor 3 in accordance with the start of the picture recording, so as to write automatically the above-mentioned index information into the text memory 10. Then, at the time of ending the picture recording, the said index information is automatically written into the memory 10. By this method, the need of an index card of hand writing is eliminated.
