Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the heating uniform by providing furnace gas outlet holes opened in part of a hearth under conveyor rollers and coupled to the flue. CONSTITUTION: As scales falling from a heated matter (a) roll on an inclined hearth 8 and fall into a vertical tube 11 through an outlet hole 7, a cylinder 14 is actuated to open a cover plate 12 to discharge the drop scales accumulated in the tube 11 out of a furnace. Burners 5, 5 directly heat the matter (a) conveyed by rollers 1, 1 and high-temp. gas within the furnace ofter combustion is sucked into the outlet hole 7 and flows in a lower part of the furnace to raise hearth temp. and hence heat the lower part of the matter (a). This improves the uniform heating and suppresses the draft action, thus facilitating the adjustment in the furnace.
