Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the strength against mechanical shock by mounting a crystal oscillator chip to a base via a base, a cap, a buffer member and a fixed metallic fixture and setting a crystal oscillator chip nearly at a right angle to the base. CONSTITUTION:In falling down the crystal oscillator, the base 7, the cap 12, the buffer member 14, the fixed band 15 and a case base 17, etc., absorb the shock energy to prevent the crystal oscillator chip 9 from being damaged. More over, the crystal oscillator chip 9 is arranged nearly at a right angle to the base 1. Even when the oscillator falls with its cover 17 down, the crystal oscilla tor chip 9 is not damaged. That is, the crystal oscillator withstanding mechani cal shock is obtained. Moreover, the crystal oscillator chip 6 may be mounted on the base 1 through the buffer member 14 similarly by using, e.g., a gate type fixed metallic fixture in place of the fixed band 15.
