Abstract

PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain the titled ferrite material having superior radio wave absorbing performance and suitable for use as a radio wave absorber for a radio wave shielding room, by blending respectively prescribed amts. of iron oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide and manganese oxide as essential components and carrying out molding and sintering. CONSTITUTION:44-47mol.% iron oxide is blended with 24-27mol.% magnesium oxide, 22-26mol.% zinc oxide and 4-7mol.% manganese oxide. The blend is mixed with a binder such as an aq. PVA soln. and granulated. The resulting granules are molded into a desired shape and sintered at 1,250-1,350 deg.C for 1-3hr to obtain the titled ferrite material having superior radio wave absorbing performance. The mu' of the ferrite material is about 1,000, the peak width of the mu'' extends and the ferrite material causes damping by >=20dB in the extended band of 30-400MHz.
