Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a discharging amount of NOx and make a stable flame in a low NOx burner utilizing a complete premixture combustion by a method wherein several counter flames are formed within a combustion chamber with a group of flame holes by using thin plates and a plurality of flames are arranged toward an outlet of the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 8 is formed by a combustion chamber wall 9 and a combustion chamber outlet 10. The combustion chamber wall 9 is provided with a group 4 of a plurality of flame holes arranged at a substantial constant distance and the flame holes are opposed to each other. Flame holes 5 in the group 4 of the flame holes are formed by continuously bending the thin plate and combining it with a flat plate. In this case, it is sufficient to have a ratio of a plate thickness to a plate length more than 100. It is preferable to have this flame holes 5 within a flame diminishing distance. The group 4 of the flame holes is positioned at an outlet of a fuel supplying passage 3 arranged within the combustion chamber wall 9. The fuel supplying passage 3 is arranged outside the combustion chamber 8 and has at least a width corresponding to that of the flame holes 5. The group 4 of flame holes are arranged in several numbers toward the outlet 10 of the combustion chamber. It is preferable for the fuel to be ignited in a region having a high excessive rate of air.
