Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the safety and ease of operation by allowing a needle valve to be pushed in only in the range from low to high combustion intensity at the time of ignition, and inhibiting the push button from being pushed in in the range from the low combustion to the pilot flame which is designated as a child-proof zone. CONSTITUTION:As a push button 11 is turned from the low to the high range and pushed in, the first and second push rods 4, 5 are pushed in by means of a member 13 to cause both the main valve 7 and the safety valve 8 to be opened at the same time. As a result, gas enters from the inlet 1 to pass through the main valve, passages (a) and (b), and safety valve to passages (c) and (d) to a needle valve 9 to be delivered to the gas outlet 2. At the same time, an ignition switch 12 is pushed by an actuator 16 to cause an ignition of gas. Since a lock pin 30a is in engagement with a groove 30 extending in the direction of rotation while the push button 11 remains in the range from the start position (a) to the low intensity combustion (b), the movement in the push direction is locked, and so, the push button 11 is inhibited from being pushed in in the range from (a) to (b), which is known as the child-proof zone.
