Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent insects from invading into food packaging material by uniformly distributing rough portions of minute dimensions on outer material face and totally covering the surface and by producing with synthetic material not eatable by insects. CONSTITUTION: A suitable food packaging material has a down form of synthetic material tightly stuck to the surface with uniform distribution of rough portions of minute dimensions. The down is made of spinning synthetic fibers with diameter of 5-20 μm and length of 20-100 times as large as diameter, stuck to packaging material sheet with adhesive and having a sufficient density with respect to the fiber dimension, and constructed in such a state as completely covering the surface at least. Fiber density of down is advantageous to be 10-100 g/m<2> . For example, the down is polyamide resin fiber of 1.5 denier (diameter of 12 μm) with length of 0.6 mm and has been stuck to packaging sheet with acetovinyl adhesive at a surface density of 50-80 g/m<2> .
