Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance operability and prevent an IC contact point from being damaged by placing the IC on a support member provided with a protective wall, lowering them resisting a forcing spring so that a contact is connected to the IC, and releasing the connection via an expanding portion as the IC is further lowered. CONSTITUTION:When a support member 15 provided with a protective wall 18, resiliently forced upward with a spring 11, and loaded with an IC4 is pressed and lowered via a cover 3, a tip portion 37 of a contact 28 set at a specified pitch with a guide member 43 slides along the side wall of a member 15. When the tip portion 37 goes beyond the wall 18, it is connected to a contact point 17 of the IC4. When the member 15 is further lowered, an expanding member 25 moves, the tip 37 of the contact 28 retracts via an engagement shoulder 35, the member 15 is raised with the resilient force of the spring 11, and when the wall 18 goes beyond the tip 37, the contact 28 with a member 25 is reset to a home position. With this constitution, connection and release of the contact are performed without pressing the IC with good operability and the IC contact point is prevented from being damaged with the protective wall and others.
