Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in electrical insulation property and water resistance and useful as an insulator of a power cable to which a high voltage is applied, by mixing PE with a specified polyorganosiloxane. CONSTITUTION:99.5-85pts.wt. PE (A) is mixed with 0.5-15pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane (B) of the formula (wherein R1-2 are each methyl, vinyl or phenyl, R3 is H, methyl, vinyl or alkoxyl, R4 is H or alkyl), and the resulting mixture is optionally crosslinked.
