Abstract

PURPOSE:To stack discharging papers regularly onto a paper discharge tray by providing a roller having a pawl on the outer circumferential section rotatable in same direction as a second discharge roller while being synchronized therewith. CONSTITUTION:A paper formed with an image is guided through a carrying means to a position where it is held by discharge rollers 12a, 12b. Then the paper 11 is discharged onto a paper discharge tray 13 while being held by a drive side discharge roller 12a and a driven side discharge roller 12b which rotate as a shaft 14 rotates. Even if the paper 11 is curled during image forming process and the end portions 11b at the right and left side sections 11a come above a nip line 18, following papers are discharged under a condition where the curled portion is pushed downward by a pawl 16a through rotation of a roller 16 having a pawl, and thereby the tip of the following paper does not contact with curled portion of discharged paper thus stacking the papers regularly onto the paper discharge tray 13.
