Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve working environment and use electric power effectively by a method wherein at the equipment mentioned above for a manufacturing plant the capacity of a compressor is gradually reduced and the air amount of an indoor fan is gradually increased with demand signal. CONSTITUTION:Air-conditioned air is sent out into a manufacturing plant 2 from an indoor unit 4. On the other hand, a demand monitoring and control means 21 monitors the whole electric power consumption in the plant and delivers a demand signal when the power consumption approaches a specified range for contract power. This demand signal is fed into a control means 31 for the capacity of a compressor and a control means 32 for the capacity of a fan. With the rise in the power consumption the capacity of the compressor 5 is gradually reduced and the air amount of the indoor fan 4a is gradually increased. By this constitution, the efficient use of electric power can be achieved and working environment can be kept as favorable as possible'.
