Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high power with a simple arrangement by allowing an actuating shaft to take rectilinear reciprocating motion in association with the expansion and contraction of a shape memory alloy spring so that the torque of either one of a pair of rotary cylindrical members which are rotated in reverse directions with respect to each other, is transmitted to an output shaft through a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:When shape memory alloy coil springs 14 are for example heated, they contract overcoming a bias spring 15 so as to allow an actuating shaft 12 to take rightward rectilinear motion. Then, due to the guide of projecting parts 18 along spiral guide grooves 16a, 16b, rotary cylindrical members 17a, 17b are rotated in reverse directions with respect each other. At this time, due to operation of one-way clutches 19a, 19b, the torque of one 17a of the rotary cylindrical members is transmitted to a first gear 20b, but the torque of the other rotary cylindrical member 17b is not transmitted to a first gear 20b. Accordingly, a second gear 24a is rotated only by the first gear 20a on the rotary cylindrical member 17a side, and accordingly, an output shaft 21a is rotated through a reduction gear 22.
