Abstract
PURPOSE:To securely and easily detect an accident section by connecting an edge-cut cable sheath by a bond wire, grounding respective bond wires, and providing a current sensor on one power source side and comparing and discriminating the level of an accident current. CONSTITUTION:If a ground fault occurs at an accident point 66 between insulating connection boxes 35 and 36 on a line, accident currents I and I' flow as shown by arrows. The accident current I which flows to the right passes through the current sensor 56c of a normal connection box 42 and is then shunt by a ground line 40 and reduced to almost I/3. Further, the current values of the current sensor of a right-hand side normal connection box 41 is also almost I/3. Further, the accident current I' which flows to the right from the accident point 60 is shunt by the ground line 40 in a 1st normal connection box 43 to almost I'/3 and measured by respective current sensors 56. Consequently, it is discriminated that the accident point is on the side of the bond wire of a current sensor which detects the large accident current.
