Abstract

PURPOSE:To always properly control a stabilizer by deciding a vehicle to be placed in a low friction coefficient road surface running condition and correcting a target torsional amount of the stabilizer to be decreased when ratio of estimated lateral acceleration to detected lateral acceleration exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A means M1 adjusts a torsional amount of a stabilizer in accordance with an instruction from the outside. While a means M2 detects a car speed further a means M3 detects a steering angle. A means M4 outputs an instruction changing into a target torsional amount determined being based on the car speed and the steering angle, controlling the means M1. In this device, a means M5 detects lateral acceleration of a vehicle. While a means M6 calculates estimated lateral acceleration of the vehicle being based on the car speed and the steering angle. Further a means M7 decides the vehicle for whether or not it is placed in a low friction coefficient road surface running condition with ratio of the lateral acceleration to the estimated lateral acceleration exceeding a predetermined value. When the vehicle is placed in the low friction coefficient road surface running condition, a means M8 corrects the target torsional amount to be decreased.
