Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to drive a linear motor within the allowable limits, by reducing the acceleration in increasing the speed of the motor less than the acceleration when the motor is decelerated. CONSTITUTION:A linear sensor 10 detects the position of a voice coil motor 104 and a speed detector 100 detects the present speed of a movable carriage based on the output of this linear sensor 10. A microcomputer 101 outputs a speed command. A compensation controller 102 inputs the error between the present speed and the speed command and controls a driver 103 so that the speed of the movable carriage may follow the speed command. The driver 103 reduces the acceleration in increasing the speed of a linear motor 104 less than the acceleration when the motor is decelerated.
