Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce blur quantity due to defocus while brightly taking an F number, by mounting a means for moving a slit image forming position due to a projection optical system and a means for moving the observing position of a part to be examined by moving quantity accompanied by the movement of the slit image forming position. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source 1 illuminates a slit 3 through a condenser lens 2 and the light from the slit 3 being a secondary light source forms a slit image at the position 01 of the anterior part of an eye E to be examined by a fixed lens 4 and a movable image forming lens 5. The image of the anterior part cut by the slit image once forms an aerial image by a movable objective lens 6, zoom variable power lenses 7R, 7L and image forming lenses 8R, 8L and stereoscopically observed by both left and right eyes ER, EL to be examined through a pair of eyepieces 9R, 9L. When the position of the image forming lens 5 and that of the movable objective lens 6 are changed to positions 5', 6' by an equal distance, the focal surface of the slit image changes from the position 01 to a position 0i and the movable objective lens 6 also moves in its focus by the same quantity as the shift of the focal surface of the slit image and said focus can be matched with a slit cross-sectional focal position.
