Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the compound casting body having strong resistance against an abrasion wear by pouring the molten cast iron whose structure after solidification is a white pig iron at the specified temp. to the layer of a sintered carbide alloy fine piece in the specified thickness. CONSTITUTION:The cast iron whose structure after solidification is of white pig iron is poured in the molten state of the higher temp. of 50T deg.C-180(1.75+T) deg.C than its self m.p. and a composite casting body is manufactured. At this time, the fine piece of the sintered carbide alloy is composed of either a crush body, granular body or compacted body, or of the mixed body thereof and at least 70% of the whole amt. is composed of the grain size of 2-15mm. The cast iron of a white pig iron structure has the compound carbide by the addition of alloy elements as the main body and the chrome/ carbon (Cr%/C%) is taken in the range of 1-12 against the carbon contg. amt. being in the range of 2.5%-4.0%. The composite casting body having strong wear resistance against abrasion is thus obtd.
