Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an optical sensor unnecessary in case of being used for a dimmer filter, by initiating the titled dimmer by erasing a color when the permeability of a display body, is out of target value. CONSTITUTION:The titled dimmer is initiated by erasing the color when the permeability of the display body is out of the target value. Namely, the titled dimmer is initiated by erasing the color of the EC layer which is composed of a Prussian blue of WO3 etc., and has a cyclic voltamogram (CV characteristic), enclosing in a state of voltage of zero at the time of erasing the color, when the permeability of the display body is out of the target value. Accordingly, the control of the titled dimmer complying with the amount of an electric charge is possible by correcting the deviation from the standard value of said permeability. As the interrelationship between the permeability and the retention amount of the electric charge is not affected by the temperature of the deterioration of the titled dimmer after the lapse of time, even in case the EC display body being plural, the titled dimmer can be controlled by the optical sensor capable of detecting a single outdoor light. And, when the titled dimmer is used for the dimmer filter with an indoor light which is not affected by the outdoor light, as said filter can be controlled by setting the permeability to the prescribed value, it makes the optical sensor unnecessary.
