Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize a hydrogen-containing flon to OH group, by adding styrene and a phenol to a lower aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbon containing fluorine, another halogen and hydrogen. CONSTITUTION:A lower aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbon containing fluorine, another halogen and hydrogen (hydrogen-containing flon) (e.g. 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2- trifluoroethane) is incorporated with 0.05-2.0wt.% compound (e.g. styrene or vinyltoluene) shown by the formula (R<1>-R<4> are H or 1-3C hydrocarbon group) and 0.001-1.0wt.% phenol (e.g. 2,6-di-t-butyl-p-cresol) so that the hydrogen- containing flon is stabilized to alcoholic OH group. By the stabilization, the hydrogen-containing flon can be used in a state of coexistence of alcoholic OH group. The hydrogen-containing flon is effective especially for shelf stability of polyol containing a hydrogen-containing flon as a foaming agent.
