Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain desired vibration damping force for long term by arranging inner and outer tubes telescopically and displacably in the direction on an axis and coupling the inner and outer tubes through a resilient member. CONSTITUTION:In a case where one coupling rod 5 is fixed to an upper spring member of an automobile while a coupling rod 4 is fixed to a lower spring member, transmission of vibration from upper or lower side of spring to a device causes relative displacement of inner and outer tubes 1, 2 in axial direction. Upon deformation of a flexible film body 6, liquid are communicated between the upper and lower side chambers 7a, 7b through a restricted path 9. Consequently, vibration is damped sufficiently based on fluid resistance of the path 9. Since no sliding structure is required between the inner and outer tubes 1, 2, desired vibration damping force can be maintained for long term without causing the variation of vibration damping force due to sliding wear.
