Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a phosphorane compound useful for an anticancer agent, anti-AIDS agent, etc., using an inexpensive raw material, by saturating an ethylene bond of a specific phosphorene oxide by addition reaction of hydroxyl group. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene bond of phosphorene oxide expressed by formula I (R<1> is H, OH, alkyl, alkoxyl, aryl or aryloxyl; R<2> and R<3> are H, alkyl or aryl; R<4> is H, OH, alkyl, alkoxyl, aryl, acyloxyl or aryloyloxyl; R<5> is H, C1 unit or C2 unit) is saturated with by at least addition reaction of hydroxyl group to convert the phosphorane oxide to a phosphorane compound expressed by formula II (A is OH or halogen). The saturation of the above-mentioned ethylene bond is preferably carried out by addition reaction of OH group by oxidation or addition reaction of halogen atom and OH by halohydrination.
