Abstract

PURPOSE:To economically obtain the titled compound having activity such as lowering of cholesterol or suppression of platelet aggregation, by extracting a crude phospholipid with a polar solvent from a fish having blue back, removing nonlipid ingredient and concentrating a specific phospholipid by a column chromatography. CONSTITUTION:The aimed compound is obtained by extracting a crude phospholipid with a polar solvent (e.g. methanol, ethanol, acetone or chloroform) for a fish having blue back such as skipjack or tuna, removing a nonlipid ingredient and concentrating a phospholipid expressed by the formula -C(O)-R1- and -C(O)-R2- are fatty acid residue derived from nature or either one or both of these group are docosahexaenoic acid residue] by a column chromatography.
