Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the device on the whole by extracting a rod- shaped magnetic core suddenly in an initial state where the rod-shaped magnetic core is excited by a solenoid coil, decreasing the inductance of a circuit, and supplying a current which increases abruptly to a generating coil. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 7 is charged with the DC voltage of a DC power source 5 through a charging resistance 6. When a switch 9 is closed, the discharging current I of the capacitor 7 flows through a damping resistor 8 and also flows to a solenoid coil 10 to excites the rod-shaped magnetic core 11 inserted into the coil 10. When a driving mechanism 14 extracts the magnetic core 11 from the coil 10 abruptly, the inductance of the coil 10 is reduced suddenly to 1/mu, where mu is the magnetic permeability of the magnetic core 11. The current I flowing to an excitation part 12 varies by about mu times because the inductance varies abruptly to mu. Thus, the device is reduced in size on the whole.
