Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The invention is composed of a cylindrical vessel 1 which is water impermeable and whose over-part is left open, a water permeable member 2 impregnated with water, etc., and a shutoff member 3 which is put fully in the vessel upper part so as to contact with the water permeable member 2 and which prevents water from leaking. The material of the vessel 1 should be any of impermeable nature, while the material of the water permeable member 2 should be porous and soft to such a degree as admitting insertion of the stem of a cut flower. The material of the shutoff member 3 should preferably be dense so as not to admit permeation of water, etc., and also be flexible, for example, foaming urethane, gelatine, etc. The stem (a) of cut flower A is inserted into the water-permeable member 2 from the shutoff member 3 of the vessel 1 so as to hold the cut flower A, and it is possible to supply water to the cut flower A for a long period of time.
