Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in processability and can give a molding excellent in appearance, mechanical strengths and heat resistance, by adding tris(isopropylphenyl) phosphate as a flame retardant to a polyphenylene ether resin and a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. total of resin component comprising 1-99pts.wt. polyphenylene ether resin (A) and 99-1pt.wt. vinylaromatic hydrocarbon resin (B) (e.g., high-impact PS) is mixed with a flame retardant comprising 1-30pts. wt. tris(isopropylphenyl) phosphate (C) and, optionally, a specified amount of other phosphates (D) (e.g., triphenyl phosphate).
