Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure such a fluorescent lamp that is good in a luminous intensity distribution characteristic securable by sticking a tape clad with a metal film to an outer surface of a glass bulb with an opening window left behind. CONSTITUTION:A tape 9 clad with a metal film 8 is stuck to an outer surface of a glass bulb 1 in a fluorescent lamp with an opening window 10 left behind. This fluorescent lamp is easily manufacturable by removing a part of the said tape at an opening angle of the required width after sticking the said tape over almost the whole surface of the outer surface of the glass bulb. Consequent ly, for example, an opening angle of the opening window 10 of an aperture of reflection type fluorescent lamp is very accurately and easily regulable owing to the tape 9 stuck to the outer surface of the glass bulb 1, consequently, such a fluorescent lamp that is good in a luminous intensity distribution characteristic is manufactured in an easy manner.
