Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively improve release property, and also to stably and continuously produce cast coated paper for a long period of time without lowering the quality of the paper by applying specific plural kinds of releasing agents. CONSTITUTION: This cast coated paper is produced by including (A) a releasing agent (e.g. monostearyl phosphate triethanolamine or the like) comprising at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a phosphate having a 6-22C aliphatic hydrocarbon group, its amine salt and lecithin and (B) a lubricant comprising at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a higher fatty acid, its metallic salt, a hydrocarbon such as microcrystalline wax and polyethylene, a higher alcohol, a fluororesin, a silicon resin, a surfactant and Turkey red oil in a coated layer and/or rewetting liquor or a gelling liquid and by performing surface rolling of the coated layer at <=80 kg/cm pressure through the medium of a mirror finishing drum having >=90 deg.C surface temperature.
